So, this is not like shrinkage, but more like incoming parts shelved, but not added to the computer as added inventory which is now available to be sold?
]QUOTE=djfllmn;7497230]from what i gathered
the statement is about 40 grand higher than what the computer is saying, and i know exactly how that started, if they made a boo boo they would just take the part off inventory. so as far as the computer goes its not there, but the statement doesn't lie
and parts being given to customers and not being billed anywhere to 'relieve' inventory
pretty much yes
*Ok, it "appears" like inventory overage.
and parts being given to customers and not being billed anywhere to 'relieve' inventory
*But this would look like shrinkage. Parts missing from inventory.
So I'm unclear which side the 40k is on... I'm guessing the shrinkage direction. Parts going out... but not billed - parts not paid for. 🙄
San Francisco is #1 or #2 now in both inflation AND shrinkage. That old principle of "Action & opposite reaction," in the fiscal realm. More cameras. Every till and counter position. One exit w a metal detector. No baggie clothing. Lunchboxes opened like at a gold mine. "Temporary." Then, leave it in place.

QUOTE=djfllmn;7497256]yea it is the shrinkage side, i didn't quite understand the terms, I do now, my apologies
Everyone has different terms. Last I heard, the army no longer retreats, but "Advances to the rear." Did inventory from ToysRUs warehouse to parts for upcoming AWACS, in which as one of six job-shoppers, I saw us spinning our wheels and finding errors so after 3 days I talked to the boss. Next day there were just 3 of us. We started all over using my method of approach and were completely done in 3 days. Got me a job offer.
Plug the leak, kick butt.

Wondering... Some businesses allow us to make a purchase and pick up the part from a more local sister-business. Others, ship, "inter-office," between locations. It's sometimes a day or two slower as these go aboard dealer trucks with other normal parts, making the rounds, but there's no added shipping cost to the customer, nor to the dealer, but a few minutes adjusting paperwork.
Is there a way we can buy from your warehouse/ dealer, and pick up the part at a more local dealer? It'd be nice to both honor you, and to support a dealer that has been dealt sheize from within the ranks.
