A few years ago, I decided to fix the compressor on the Mustang, as it was leaking at the center seal. Took everything apart, new seals all around, reassembled, and drew a vacuum that held overnight. Filled the system with 134A, then listened to it all leak out at the shaft seal which I must have nicked on install.

I've had the new seal and refrigerant for years, but just haven't taken the time to fix it again.

Oh man.... that sucks. Do the SN95's use the FS10 compressor?

Pretty sure the expansion valve took a pooh on it, and caused all of the issues. Everything looked great inside. I replaced the drier because of the concerns by the OEM piece falling apart inside, as well as both hoses on the drier. However, after seeing how good of shape it was all in, I decided to negate the plans to replace the hoses directly attached to the compressor. I decided that if it held vacuum, I was rolling with it.

Forgive my "paint dusted" gauge, lol. It's rolling at 41-42 degrees. It does need another .9 ounces to be full. Damn thing takes 24.9 ounces.... stupid Ford.

Looks good to me, White. I wouldn't worry about that extra fraction.

Quick poll... I absolutely love this Alumi-Blast paint. My Buddy gave me 3 cans of it yesterday, and I would really love this color on my brake calipers. The paint is intended for motors, transmissions, etc. Do you think it'll hold up to brake heat though?

Only good to 250*. https://cdn.amplifi.pattern.com/331f...b-36f4559bdd3d

Calipers get way hotter than that, so no.

Well, caliper coatings are rated to something like 900*, so I'll just say I wouldn't use it.

Can't really go by that.

Ohio's probably got that hot not too long ago.
