Sometimes I have a hard time admitting/accepting that I need help. I like to do most things on my own. I've been told that's the Virgo in me, LOL.

Got any good movies you're going to catch up on while you're laid up, Brew?

Watched a little bit of this one earlier, - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10323676/ looked pretty good anyway. The sig other caught a plain back to the beyond, was nice seeing her again, for awhile anyway. Back on my own again, scrambled eggs, water..toast tonight, went lite. Breaking in the new fluid free body.. I guess....well, the retention anyway...all 11 lbs of it. Not exactly Gumby but I'm bendy again..

Btw, that's been said about Tauruses as well.....harsher tone for some reason, but means the same.

Kind of a weird one last night.... My Wife was told she has shingles. I've only seen that happen to people in their 60's and up. Hell, she's a ways out from 50 still. I never had chickenpox as a kid, so AFAIK, I shouldn't ever have to worry about that.
Yep, either the kidneys are starting to give out...or just complaining. Worst case, dialysis I guess. Seemed alright in the hospital, maybe it's temporary.

Shingles, I thought they had something much better for that now. Grandmother had shingles for quite awhile throughout her life. She lived until 98. I recall talking about it at a get together in the last few years...actually more listening than talking..my part. Don't know much about it. Thought they mentioned it was about curable. She passed 20 years ago. Quite a few of immediate family in the health field, I don't follow it though. Anyway, that's what I've heard.

Had Chickenpox at 21 or 22 while I was working abroad. Strange age for that.I don't recall any suffering , but it looked hell, like a massive acne attack. It was gross.

Glad to hear you're feeling better and better, Brewster. I'll have to check out that movie.... put it on my list. I'm in "get everything done before winter" mode, then it's football/movie time, lol. Did you ever get a fever with the covid? Don't recall if you said.

I hope the kidneys regain their strength. My Wife only has one, and it's an all out 911 any time she gets a kidney infection.

Speaking of my Wife.... I kinda think she was misdiagnosed on the shingles deal. It's already gone... doesn't seem likely that it would be gone in 2 days if it was shingles, or at least from what I've seen. My Grandpa had it pretty bad, I remember him scratching and having sores from it. They gave the Wife antibiotics for an ear infection at the same time, so I'm wondering it somehow the ear infection caused the rash crap she had all over her neck and shoulders?

Nope, no fever at all...not even warm from start to finish. Kind of makes you wonder if I had it at all. That's a big controversy here at the moment...(fam wanted me tested again, they refused) part of why it went a little political.

Shingles didn't use to just go away. So maybe it was misdiagnosed. Hard to say about the rash, wear yourself out guessing about it if uncommon.

Yea , I wasn't about to try and lay down again after my lungs gave out. I couldn't get any air into them from the time I left the bed until I struggled out the front door and for some reason or other jumped off our 3' porch. Landed flat on feet then down on one knee and received a little bit of air. With the help of a tree, began breathing enough to get somewhat functional. Had to jump up and down in order to improve that and continue to live.

That stuff in the lungs was pretty solid, but found some room in there where I could knock it around a bit. Yea, I don't understand it, never heard of such a thing...it saved my life though....got me to the Hospital. They did the rest.

My last covid test was 5 months ago. Not sure between then and now when I contradicted it. I also have another underlying conidiation, not very serious by it self and very treatable. However, when the two combined landed me here.

Still have a ways to go, but I think I'm on the mend. The organs have taken a big hit, I'll have to deal with that now. But yea...close one for sure.

Determining tomorrow whether heart surgery will be necessary or sending me home in a few days possibly with a therapeutics regimen to follow. Stress testing the heart...flow, valves and whatnots.

Anyway, sort of out of the woods for now.

Thanks jp.

People talk about slowly getting over the virus. Or feeling it coming on in the beginning. I didn't have none of that. The way I feel now, absolutely fine...better than fine... makes me doubt I had the virus. I had/have something else going on.

However, could be a new strain I guess...could of gotten a touch of it maybe..not ruling it out. But yea, feel great.

When I had it, I was told the fever was a dead giveaway, but could be a new strain for sure.

When I took my Dad into the ER on Sunday, he'd had a fever of 104... so I was perplexed when there was no mention of masks. Nor did the doc or nurses mask up.

Yeah, that's what I've heard as well. The fever, right around the beginning stages when the body begins fighting it.

104 ....YIKES!

Is he still there ? Tell him to go for those Lorna Doone cookies...I think they helped a lot..during my stay, --
