Bear.....not as bad as I thought it might look. It's getting there.

White....It was 2 above this morning here in Anchorage, so Salt Lake is colder than central Alaska. Go figure.

Brew....keep those fires burning.

Hope everyone has a great day and weekend.
Just a nice hang out place you made for us, AK!- just some fellers chillin over a hot coffee, or a hot toddy!-
It is getting better- i can cross my legs at the knee ( gingerly, but, hey, i can do it!)- bruising is starting to fade.
Ok- back to the couch!- getting sleepy again- peace to all, g'nite/ morning!

I hope you all have a great day... I shall spend my day getting re-energized for the work week... watching football.

On a side note, for the first time in 8 years, the bathroom scale started with a 2 yesterday. Pretty happy about that!

You actually made a personal health goal ? I seriously envy that. I have serious problems with health goals, I think mentally as well because I can't even begin to start working on them. Attempted to prepare myself in my 40's. Once I hit 50 I'll begin eating healthy and exercise just enough to keep in shape. Anyone else have that in their head ? Like some master plan crawling around in the back of your mind, or perhaps it's a leak in the subconscious ? Regardless, - you know it's gotta be done for a healthy retirement IF that is also one of your goals. At the 53 mark now, still waiting for that master plan to kick in. I wasn't aware of how actually mentally challenging all that could be I guess....or that I would have a problem with it. I need to get that started, is there some trick I'm not aware of, acupuncture? Doesn't make sense, I can keep my truck healthy without much of a problem.

This is why I envy your post white.

Last year I started out at about 187 or so. When the doctors decided to change my pain medicines and lowered the doses, my weight went up and up. By Christmas I was at 216. I said screw this. This morning 208 and going down slowly. Had to drop the cokes down.

Congrats White. Keep it up. Maybe if you keep moving that snow.....lol

Brew...it is out there. The plan that is. You have to do a Del Shannon. Keep Searching.

Bear. Get well soon. When you are on the med's you don't post as often. lol I wonder why.

It's been a bad last few days, but what the hell. It will get better. It either has to or.....

You guys/everyone else, have a great day. Hows the snow in everyones area? Drive safely.

Having my back surgery in April is really what kicked this all into motion. My back surgeon told me to get rid of the weight, or I'd certainly be going through that mess again. AK.... Unfortunately, the back prevents me from lifting snow, but I do move it with my Toro Power Clear pretty well. Needless to say, I am not looking to go through a blown out disc again, lol.

Do any of you guys have a brand of radiator flush that you'd recommend over others? I used some made by Bars Leaks on my parents' Taurus, and I wasn't too impressed.

I've heard vinegar may even work better?

EDIT: Found a picture of the stuff I used on the Taurus:

The best I've found since they did away with the Dupont 2 parts is the Blue Devil flush. It is more expensive but cleans like a maid in a mansion. Autozone I believe has it. I bought a case for a friend 3 years ago, and I kept 2 of the bottles. It really worked on my Fusion.

Here here, definitely congrats to white!

Thanks AK. Del Shannon, familiar name, can't place it at the moment but I'll look into it. I know what to do, quick study IF I put my mind to it; -have to conquer that discipline demon is all. There's isn't a trick to it I expect. Set a regimen and stick with it. Sounds way to easy lol.

Yea Bear may be on some strong meds after that one. His pics after 5 days actually look pretty good. Not a lot of swelling anyway. Hope he's feeling better.

AK, just seen your original post about the woman that use to work for you. Didn't catch that post, think I saw the one after. Sorry, haven't kept up with the thread too well and didn't realize the seriousness. That's terrible! What a downer, very sorry to hear that buddy.

Just a trace of snow here 15* warming to 40 in a couple days...then nose diving again.

I've used the Prestone Stuff -

http://prestone.com/enmx/node/1168

I won't use bars leak products.

You know, this is the worst time of year to do this stuff. It's like punishment lol. Hell I'm still working on getting my *** out the garage to check the lug nuts and take some pics. Fricken cold! The 98 is cold blooded, loves the cold always has for some reason. My lungs and sinuses reject it. Nose runs and I end up with some sort of chest cold...sucks! I may have to move south some day I expect.
