Next project showed up.
1963 Corvette convertible 327 (340hp) 4-spd. #s matching.
It was born black with a red interior, but the interior was change to black and the big block hood was added.
It has some flaws, but definitely nice driver.
A huge pile of receipts came with it.
A breakdown of what has been done already.
It was sold10/07 to a dealer/car lot, then 11/07 sold to another dealer/car lot.
They had it for a while and looks like they rebuilt the motor.
They sold it 08/19 to another dealer/ lot.
08/21 they sold it to the guy that just sold it to my buddy.
He couldn't get it to run right, and only drove it around the block once.
I'm starting with fresh plugs and fresh oil.
Bob could barely keep it running to back it in the garage and it was burning our eyes it was so rich.
He was on the 2nd carb and tried adj. the valves then decided to sell it.
Pic of a plug I pulled.
Still can't believe it gets that cold there....60 below was crazy, elevation thing maybe? 5F above here in MI currently. Warming back up Sunday finally, in the 40's again... for a few weeks anyway. Unusual for Feb but I'll take it.
LOL, I sure wish. I don't think a PETG or PLA version would taste very good, lol.
Just checking out the weather, and we're supposed to get clean up to 41 degrees tomorrow, just for it to turn back to snow on Monday. Hope to get some work done tomorrow. I'll require some sun at 41 degrees though, LOL.
