Exactly! I just talked to a guy at work... he told me the first mods to do are a hardened tip, and a better bed. They all come with a "general purpose" bed, but there are some vast improvements that have been made. My Buddy gave me an Amazon gift card for Christmas, so when I get home, I'll order. Also ordered some PETG material - that is more suited for car parts.
The dude that owns this car is a subscriber on my channel... bad *** 70!
All the parts for the Malipoo finally came.
Stubborn turd wouldn't come apart.
One older tie rod end was just spinning instead of coming apart, so it got removed with the cut off wheel.
And the pinch bolt on the intermediate shaft was rusted solid.
So, it got cut and separated with the air chisel.
I panned ahead and have the shaft but need to pick up a tie rod end tomorrow.
So, if you guys are interested in why I went with the Voxelab Aquila vs. the more popular Creality Ender 3, this is a good comparison between the two. Mine is the X2 version, which actually has a couple of improvements over the model he's going over in this video. For $154.99, it's an absolute steal. (I had a 25 off coupon)
Phil, I've started just cutting stuff that is going to pose a problem. Did shocks on my Sister's Explorer a few weeks ago. I tried for about 2 minutes to get the nuts off the top, and out came the Sawzall.
This has been a game changer for me.
EDIT: Forgot to post these. This is the cover I was printing. It appears that it's been changed ever-so-slightly since the guy made this file, so I need to mess with it to get it to fit. BUT, it gives you an idea what it does.

Recall watching some futuristic Sci-Fi flick, can't remember which one. Anyway they were trying to figure out who printed the 9mm (pistol). Didn't realize what they meant by that, it was a short part in the movie....didn't expand on the process. Think I figured it out.
They are pretty amazing. I need to learn Fusion 3D a bit more. I watched one a bit ago on building a part from a picture. Pretty cool procedure.
This is a little "vase" a guy at work built a while back. Really fine accuracy. Same guy also built a little guitar... he's built some subwoofer enclosures... you name it. Hmm... Sub enclosures. Better turn on the thinker.
