I like it much better with these wheels... came of an 05 or 06 Mustang.
BTW, bead balancing works great!
Had those 16" wheels on my 07 Mustang when I bought it. Upgraded to GT brakes, and those wheels wouldn't fit the front calipers afterward. Love the look, especially with the chrome spinners on them. The good thing about these wheels, they fit any Ford with 4.5 pattern. They have the 70.6mm centering hub, so they fit anything with 4.5 lug pattern. Mine are currently on a 65 Mustang coupe. Look good on it but we had to space the fronts 1/4 inch to clear the discs on it we installed. They were actually on an 86 Old Cutlass (115mm bolt pattern), and they fit fine. I would have never thought it would have worked, but it did.
Being mid-October, I didn't want to push my luck any longer so I just finished swapping my synthetic rope for the plow strap on the ATV winch while Duncan supervised.
It's so cool to be able to have him off lead with me around the property, now, and have him stay nearby. He's come a long way in his training.
Side note: i also learned that he can run at least 19 MPH. (He ran along with me up the driveway.) He might be faster, but I ran out of room.
EDIT: Holy moley! Dunc isn't a pure lab, but I guess this makes sense. At 14 MPH he was just galloping.

And fi I remember correct, He was doing that uphill !
Damn it Noob. You did your wheeler, and I still have to put on the mounting plates for the plow and winch on my machine. I wish the summer had been better. I could have done it in July, but we went wet from the 16th of July on. The damn thing may have to wait until the spring. LOL We've already had some light snow here this year, but it has melted. Nights have been just below freezing.
Ohio, that's a damn fine looking dog you've got in Duncan. I have this "feeling" that a few of my neighbors that saw me out changing tires will be asking me for favors.
I think next up has to be Hoss. The old F150 needs a few things for winter. The trans fluid is 4 years old, but it MAYBE has 15,000 miles on it - but the antifreeze was changed just before I moved 5 years ago. I want to get that done, and I also have tie rods that need replaced (inners and outers). I'll probably change the oil before winter too - but I can't imagine it even has 1000 miles on it.
EDIT: I must mention the absolutely perfect weather today. I think the high was 71, no wind.... partly cloudy. Basically perfect.

I wonder if the old rule about changing it after a year, regardless of mileage, is still really true. I can't find any evidence that it's not, so I keep doing it, but it sure seems like a waste, and at best questionable logic.
I think this year I'm going to send in a sample and see if they recommend extending it.

You are correct, sir!

That's my Grizz, AK. It was 27 degrees this morning when I took Dunc for a walk, but warmed up to about 55 and sunny. No snow yet, but we've had it earlier than this before.

Thanks, White. I think so, too. As do others. And thankfully, he's getting better with people. He accepted treats and chin rubs from someone this AM.
Those wheels look great on the Escape, BTW.

Testing is the true.... test, but with today's synthetics, I think "breakdown over time" is much reduced compared to past oils. I've been on an every-other-year program on the Mustang for awhile, now.
CO, yeah - you might be right. I put a WIX XP on it, and it's full synthetic oil, as usual. It's probably OK. Last time I looked at it (3 months ago) you can still see through it.

Right. Every time I sent my Mustang oil in the report told me I could've gone longer. That was more like I'd gone 8k and they said "go for 10k" but still. It makes no sense that oils and filters have advanced to run for these incredible miles but they still tucker out after a year. Definitely going to test at the end of next summer before I throw away any more potentially good oil.

Mine was dark after 3kmi, but I bet it could've gone longer. We'll find out next year.

I used to run the Motorcraft synthetic blend all the time, but I've started using Warren Distribution full synthetic oil only (Kirkland or Super Tech). I run the hell out of that stuff in my Toyota. It's a really great product.
