I dropped 5 trees in the back yard last October but before I had a chance to finish clearing 3 of them my neighbor borrowed and broke my Stihl. Now I've got a mess right where I wanted to start building my 25x40 "Timber framed Pergola". (I have to call it a Pergola because our HOA says I can't have a second garage, lol.) So that's another Project started and haven't finished.
I never thought buying a house would be so much work and I can't imagine what this would be like if we had bought the "fixer upper" we wanted.

i think theyre all fixer uppers!!Mine is a late victorian- built in 1910- been through the '13 and the '59 flood !- but they built them strong back then!
I've been debating on what to buy. My cousin sent me a link for a house with about 3 acres... but, no garage, no carport, house was built in the 30's. I like the idea of all of the space, but then I have to build it all.
We built a pole barn without too much trouble at my parent's old house. Had to have the trusses manufactured to code and concrete poured but the barn itself wasn't too big a deal. Advantage of doing it yourself is you can build it the way you want it and plan for a lift and storage. Buying a house with a garage already existing guarantees the garage won't fit your needs/wants. (IE the house my wife wanted has a one car garage with a bowed floor and no way to get a vehicle into the back yard at all.)
My friend built a remote garage with double wide doors on both sides, so he could drive into his back yard thru the garage. It was cheaper, since the garage was being built, than adding a sliding gate to his property. It works great. His benches were on wheels, so he just rotated them from in front of his back garage door, and kept all the usefullness of the garage design when the second door wasn't being used.

:P
I seen that as well lol. I've been doing that with my shower heads since my first or second place. It was difficult finding a good shower head that put out. Finally found some good Moens that were nice heavy, built well with assorted aerators you could swap out. Yea, they go with me lol. That's about it though. I throw in some cheapies before closing.
Well, not sure aerator is the correct word, the GPM main jet flow inserts perhaps. Yea, the shower heads have sort of a pressure washer option lol. Great on the back. Most just don't put out enough.

So Aqua source is good ? New players since I've had an interest. Wish I would have purchased one more of those heads.
