AK, we need moar pics too. I want to see moar anyway.... lol.
My son in laws dad was here from NC for the past 4 weeks. He said he's never seen AK this warm. It was around 80 for a week straight and he was sweating more here, than at his home. He said, this is NOT the AK I came to know. I'm glad we could send some fine weather to the lower 48 states. You are welcome White......

It's normal for us to his 100 a few times every summer. Nine straight days isn't even our record, LOL. We had ten days in a row back in about 2003. Usually when we have a nice stretch like that, we have a BUUUURUTAL winter, which I am very much OK with. We need water badly.

I noticed that the shocks squeak a little when hitting potholes around here. My bet is that these are original and have 94k on them.

Other than that, it drives fine. The bed rail height is noticeably lower and looks great. I sure had one good time trying to get the leaf pins in the axle by myself.

These are OEM Ford rims. These came on 15,000 2003 F150s with the Heritage trim package. Rumors also on the 2001 No Boundaries Expedition, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Ford Part# 1L3Z1007AB

I bought these from a guy in Wisconsin a few weekends ago with the tires for $200 because the clear was peeling and they were a bit dirty. After $75 in paint and sand paper and a tub of Mother's Mag and Aluminum Polish, that is what they look like. I painted the pockets the same metallic grey that is on the fender flares and sanded the faces of the spokes from 60-150-220-320-500 grit to buffed with rubbing compound before the polish.

Yes, this truck scoots. I have a 01 Screw and this 03 2 door that are mechanically identical and this 2 door is so much peppier. It could be the 100k more miles the screw has or the extra 19" of frame, doors, seats, and extra weight, but dang does this 2 door get going. I value the 4x4 over a supercharger so I guess i won't know how a Lightning drives until I convince someone who is selling his on CL to test drive his. But I didn't want a Lightning regardless.

It's been raining all weekend, so far, I haven't been able to put in the rear differential, but I did manage to pickup the tonneau cover today. I went with my teal truck, but the damn thing wouldn't fit inside with my shell on it. We tried a couple ways, and finally got the seller to deliver it for me. It turns out that the seller, was the same person who I bought my FX4 rims/tires from. Turned out he had a few other parts, and he threw them in with the tonneau price. That turned out to be a good thing. He had a sliding rear window, and trim, 2 wheels, and misc interior and trim pieces. Stroke!!!

Good Sunday Morning, AK- and just when you think the day will be unproductive, good stuff falls in your lap! Excellent!

Well damn, it's raining again today. Woke up to a downpour. I guess we need this, but this is overkill now. lol We've had an extremely hot summer with sun almost daily, so some rain will help the farmers. Not me per se, but others I guess need the rain. lol

Yes Bear, yesterday was quite nice for getting what I needed to finish the way I want the truck to be when I'm done. Getting the slider, a full set of KYB shocks, and the tonneau, worked out well. I forgot yesterday to mention the almost new KYB's he threw in with the tonneau.

Anthony......the last picture of your truck with the wheels redone, is that prior to the block removal or before. The angle does make it look like before, so it makes me wonder. Looking good through, anyway you look at your truck. Let me guess. Are you a tall person? The picture angle looks to be from a tall angle, or held over ones head. lol I'm guessing that it is before. Watch me be wrong.

About 30 minutes after I woke up a storm moved in rather swiftly. We had about a 15 minute downpour and it was gone. The clouds are moving in again now, so it may not be over yet.
