I tried helping him, but regret I did. Tried to go back and delete it, but for some damn reason it won't let me.

Wow. What a day yesterday was on here.

Sorry if I offended anyone in either post. I just had had enough of the BS. I wasn't in the mood to hear that crap.

It snowed here all day Friday. My GF was down for 5 days, and since she doesn't like to ride around when it's snowing, we never left the house on Friday. We ordered delivery, watched movies, relaxed, had fun, slept and started over. I hated to have to take her to the airport this afternoon. I think I'll fly up to her place in a couple weeks. I'll get a chance to see what it's like up in Fairbanks this time of year. It was -24 last night there. I hope to hell it warms up by the time I go. lol

I highly doubt anyone on here would be offended about what you said after that guys showing.

-24 isn't even a temperature I can fathom. Lol

What that guy keeps saying about intake gaskets for 97/98 has little merit, which makes me think he had a bad personal experience and didn't pay attention to torque and bolting the intake down stages. That is probably the most critical in the procedure.
However,- 97-99 had metal intakes. IF there was a problem with electrolysis, the gaskets at the front water jackets can look smashed upon removing the intake. Also the heads and intake can develop pin-holes and corrosion around the jackets. This corrosion can also cause chunks to be missing vs pin holes. I have a write-up or explanation rather at another site when I had to deal with it. I used a metal filler product vs a spool gun or tig (for aluminum welding). Not ideal, but it's still working. This problem takes a lot of miles to develop. I was at 185,000 miles when I did something about it and it's NOT or wasn't a gasket issue directly. It's why the gasket failed.

Only the 4.2L's have intake problems with isolator bolts. But THAT isn't exactly a intake gasket problem either.

This guy is looking to get banned, Martain has more patience than any human I know. He might as well give that guy the pleasure IMO.

I have a question for you guys. I've had 2 different Ford "techs" tell me that our trucks take the G-05 gold color coolant. Mines had green ever since I bought it. Just wondering if that's an issue or not.

Probably not. Most likely, somebody flushed it and used a universal coolant. It'll only be an issue if the gold and the green were mixed as opposed to fully flushed and replaced.
