This is the case, no pun intended.

I have one kid who can race ready, tune, dyno, race, reinstall oem.pistons etc and sell off the used race parts in a 3 day weekend. His lil bro us smart too, but trying to help him get started, changing the oil on his 600Kawa, he wanted to Watch me unscrew the drain bolt, the first time." Stuff I did at 14. UNbelievable. At least GRF is trying... coming up to speed. C'mon...

I think you're reading a little further into it than any of our intentions. You haven't been here nearly as long as many of us - we all give each other a razzing when we do something ill advised.

What about those who install this B & M rear diff cover that holds 4 quarts of gear oil ?
isn't that going to find its way into the bearings, and leak out?
3 litres is the full fluid capacity level of the OEM cover.

I will let some gear oil out tomorrow after I find a quiet spot with level ground.

Those larger covers allow for more * volume * while maintaining the same * level *; however, because of that added space, they can also interfere with the flow pattern of the lube and be less effective at getting the gear oil where it needs to be.

Check out these two videos:

Yes, that fill plug is the level for the optimum flow pattern. Didn't watch the videos, but will when I'm not in a store.

Blame those that advertise that increase in fluid level is good for rear diff.

They advertise increased fluid capacity is a good thing when it really it's counterproductive if not damaging.
