I think you're reading a little further into it than any of our intentions. You haven't been here nearly as long as many of us - we all give each other a razzing when we do something ill advised.
What about those who install this B & M rear diff cover that holds 4 quarts of gear oil ?
isn't that going to find its way into the bearings, and leak out?
3 litres is the full fluid capacity level of the OEM cover.
I will let some gear oil out tomorrow after I find a quiet spot with level ground.
Those larger covers allow for more * volume * while maintaining the same * level *; however, because of that added space, they can also interfere with the flow pattern of the lube and be less effective at getting the gear oil where it needs to be.
