Actually the gigabit switch was supposedly surge protected. Connected to a Belkin strip. Uses a tiny AC DC adapter...that's what blew. Not enough protection.

I'm having enough trouble finding all the indo I need to rig my 12k to my house. If I am gone, the wide needs things simplified. Local Pro shops don't sell parts off the shelf. Someone must tell them what to order.
