It's been way too long since I listened to any of my vinyl. I did some A/B comparisons with CD, and I'd forgotten how much warmer and smoother albums sound. It's weird having to get up to flip or change the disc after only four or five songs. Can't tell Google, "next song," either.
I have 3 or 4 records is all. My Grandpa gave me a Marantz 2250B and his Marantz record player back in 94 or 95. My Dad several hundred records, so I let him use it. You also can't beat a great player.
I haven't been filming much today because I too was in the mood to just turn on the stereo in the garage and just enjoy. I was listening to Amazon though.... not as cool as your experience!
I bought the LAB-440 turntable when I worked at Radio Shack back in 1984. I'm really glad I held onto it as well as the albums. I regret selling the STA-114 receiver I bought at about the same time, though. That thing had a front end on it that just wouldn't quit. Really sensitive.
I had a friend that worked at Shadio Rack. That was great getting his discount. Haven't seen him in several years!
I just put the last (I think?) coat of pain on. Tomorrow I will make the harness pretty again and get back on track. It's really hard to paint right here, BTW.
Looking good. Every time I see my hood release cable, I kick myself for not having re-routed it into the fender when I had the liner out doing my ignition box install. (It's mounted on top of the washer fluid reservoir.) Maybe some day.
I just actually ordered a new cable, lol. When I was painting the latch, I noticed it's frayed. I also ordered a new battery tray. Frankie's is broken, so I'll pass down the old one to Frankie.
Geez... I think I've spent 400 dollars on a bunch of stuff nobody but me will notice. Great...
