Thinking
I put that in my cart... thanks Brew! The Wife asked for a Christmas list, so maybe they'll wind up on there, lol.
My stupid HF grinder took a poop on me today Got to where I had to smack the side of it to start up... kind of acting like the brushes are shot. Big surprise, eh? So, I ordered a yellow grinder to replace it. I don't think I've worn out any of my yellow tools yet. I'll tip my hat to the Drill Master grinder though - it did cut all of the bricks for my patio, and that was a pretty rough job. I got my 10 bucks out of it, lol.

4" grinder ? Yea the HF, which were orange when I had one, didn't last that long. Upgraded (so I thought) to the Porter Cable, -that one didn't last either. Then I went with a Makita, -nailed it. It's a 5" but will run all the 4" attachments. Definitely the best and most reliable. These are all corded models.
Never used 4.5" stuff for some reason. Didn't know they existed actually. You would have to use a 5" guard with it or run without.
This one is my favorite so far, -
Btw, -I've never had a bad Dewalt product yet tho. Really like that 20v brush less impact they have. Compared it to a 18v Milwaukee (didn't have a 20v), that Dewalt had so much more. Wasn't a fair comparison I know, it was pretty big difference with breaking things loose.

Yeah, I am very happy with my DeWalt stuff. I've had my 1/4" impact get so hot that I can smell it, and I just let it cool down - and it comes out swinging. I used it trying to bury masonry bolts into concrete, and it kept spinning.... and spinning... and spinning, LOL.
So, kind of a funny story. This morning, my Buddy sent me a text with a classified ad for a 92 GT. I was looking at it, and recognized the car. If you've ever watched the channel Brit 5.0, it's their car. Anyway... my Buddy bought it, and I just drove it. It has GT40P heads, headers, hi-flo cats, and a cat back. I'm pretty sure it's going to be seeing a lot of me soon. It needs some help, and I just happen to know a guy that likes to tinker with Fox Body's.
^^^ With those mods though, the Eight Nine is similarly equipped - but it will blow the doors off that 92.

LOL. I don't think I've had one smoking yet. But mason bolts, I could see that being a little abusive lol. My little 1/4" DeWalt impact has been through hell. It been dropped , smashed, thrown....it' has to be about 10 years old. I recall it was the first 1/4" brushless impact DeWalt offered way back when. Came with a flashlight, combo kit I guess. Brushless use to be pricey when they first came out. But from I read about them and the fact I used the 1/4" the most, a good one was warranted. I've never had one this long the remained in one piece, even the battery's still click in nice and hold a charge.
