Tonight was Cars and Coffee at the track, which meant free racing (as a spectator). Shortly after we got there, we were quickly told to get back in our cars due to a severe weather warning. After about 30 minutes in the car, they let us back in. Then about 15 minutes later my Buddy that lives directly on the other side of the mountain from me said "if you don't want a hammered finish on your car, you better get it home". So, I packed up and bailed. It took a while to reach me, but we got some hail tonight.

Tonight was the first time my 89 has seen some real rain in a decade. It is the dirtiest it has been in a long time.

One thing about going to the C&C on Saturday.... it got me all jazzed up about going to the races again. I'm still a straight line racing guy, but those road courses are pretty sweet. Don't know if you watched the vidya, but my friend said the Mustang won. It was the only American made car that I saw. It was built by some guys in SLC. Their mainstay has always been Mustangs/Fords, but they do a lot of LS and Hemi stuff as well. The Mustang in the race sounds like a Coyote to me.

Anyone here ever have to rebore an engine on a 10th gen F150 ?
I'd like to know what other stuff is involved in that process.
do you have to change piston heads and pistons as well ?

Never overbored a mod engine myself but what I can tell you is:
If you overbore any engine you will need matching pistons. Mod engines can be bored over up to 1mm. .5mm is safer though. You will need matching rings also.
The machine shop that will do the bore work can tell you exactly what to get.

Also, why do you believe it needs an bore job?

What is it? Vibrations can be a lot of things... motor mounts, for one. Does it have codes?

Red got his passenger side bucket and console installed today. Damn it was hot out in the sun today and only 75, but the sun here is right on top of you, so it's hot. Ran into a Texan this morning and she was complaining on how hot it was for only 70 at the time. lol

I still have to bolt down the console, but as soon as I get some right screws I'll straighten him up a bit and bolt him down. I had to cut the hell out of the front to fit the dash configuration of our GEN 10's, but when bolted down, it will be spot on like the left side shows.

fits nice and tight

fits tight to dash when bolted in

I like how this turned out.

Like Noobs said, there are probably a dozen different things that can cause engine vibration and poor mileage. Anything from a bad spark plug, coil or fuel injector to a blown head gasket or cracked block can cause a miss. Low compression test results on multiple cylinders can point to worn rings or damaged cylinder walls, but should still be verified visually. (This can be accomplished with a borescope camera via the spark plug hole).

Looks like it belongs there, AK.

EDIT: Weird. The left-side pic just disappeared on me.

Next is to fix the corner of the right door frame. It's been like that with no paint all winter. A body shop guy I knew was going to resurface and paint that, but his father got sick and passed away, so they just up and moved back to Missouri. His mother passed 2 weeks after they got there. Covid got them both. Both refused the vax, and it came back to bite them, sadly.

Time to fix that before it gets bad. It's just surface right now, but we know how they like to rust if you let them. lol I'm trying to get things done, but currently, 81 here and it's freaking hot. I went out to Sonya and got in only to find 3 of the things inside melted. All my door trim striping fell out of the panel. The wax was just melted and it dropped out. LOL. Good. I was changing it to purple this summer anyways. But it's hot enough for wax to melt. Temp of the outside is 183 degrees with my temp reader. Inside against the leather seat was 149. That's freakin' hot for us. Black car = heat absorber for sure.
