That's the back side of the panel I put in my hatch. I'd do it different now, but it is what it is. It's not going anywhere, LOL. EDIT: The hole is needed to mount the spoiler. It's 5/16" hole.
Any recommendations on welding goggles?
Oh, yeah... the subs are both decent. Neither are top of the line, but I listen to rock/metal for the most part. I'm not entering bass wars, LOL.
Okay , I gotcha.
Goggles, I can't recall where I got mine. I got the type you can change out the lenses in. Mine won't fit magnifying lenses tho...if you use those, make sure they specify.
EDIT: I just had the HD by home put this in will call for me, along with some Diablo sanding discs.

I got to looking at the comments on the sander I've been using, and I think that has been part of my problem. I realized it was doing this (wearing out around the edges), but I thought it was me... look how it's concave (these pics are stolen from Amazon.... mine did the same thing though). I think this is affecting the straightness of where I am sanding.
Well, there's a butt pucker moment if I've ever seen one.
I agree.... LOL, they'd go around it to save someone.
I don't know if you guys are paying attention to this, but this story gets stranger and stranger. Since she was last seen in Moab, it's a pretty hot subject here.
I've got 3 of those, I'll go by age, Ryobi 4 " Porter Cable 4" and a Ridgid 5" variable speed. I like that one...variable speed comes in handy.
For body work I use a little Makita 4" square pad. They are low center of gravity and won't flip it on it's side while working....which can screw up the job lol. Makita has made the same sander forever, trusty and does a very good job on fine work.

I've used one similar to this one.... I think it was my FIL's DeWalt. The DeWalt was just a smoother running machine anyway. I agree, the variable speed is awesome. I like that I can hook up a vacuum to it too instead of depending on a bag.
I did that as well, fixing a friends drywall screw up. He caked on way too much mud and made a mess of things. The shop vac kept the dust way down, non existent in fact.
