Thinking
Yeah... you always have to maybe give a hint of "I don't really want to, but ok" to them. LOL.
My Wife and daughter took Frankie for a jaunt the other night. I was on pins and needles the whole 30 minutes they were gone.

That usually don't occur until it's back in the garage...then it's over.
No festers way to long.
White, Do ya have a reason to feel they may hurt it? Past experience or just like a momma handing her baby to someone else?
On the second link, the guy looking for the hose, he says he is replacing all the vacuum hoses because he has to pump the brakes several times before the truck begins stopping. I don't see the relationship. Maybe I was reading these too early before I was awake enough, but wouldn't the need to pump the brake indicate a failed hydraulic part or system? Bad master cylinder?
Edit: Went back and reread what was wrote. Sounds like he needs to bleed the lines.

The first one was easy,
Funk = clunk.
Knew it hydro-locked half way through, before he mentioned it. But he's correct, engine hydro-locked, then blew and now locked up. May of got lucky and just hydro-locked. Doubt it, most likley blown or hurt real bad inside.
Didn't look at the second yet.
EDIT: I know what and where, can't recall the official name of that one. Amazon use to sell them, RA might have them as well. They are sold with those connectors pre installed
You know enough to give them something...if that's what your after. Prob find the hose on RA if you want, try emission hoses over there.

No real reason other than.... they aren't quite as nice on clutches as I am. LOL... Love 'em to death, but they rev a little higher than I do to get going, and engage it slower than I do.
On my 89, I can start that car our without even touching the gas pedal. Those gears are kinda sweet to have.
