The rust has ahold of mine too... I've about decided to ride it out. My plan was to fix it at one point, but I have about 32 too many projects. It's rock solid mechanically though.

Good late morning thinkers!- Rust!- one of the reasons i traded ol’ blue in- i noticed it getting gnarly on the radiator support, underneath in places, and on the frame. Nothing that couldnt be fixed, but i just dont have the time, really.
I kinda miss ol’ blue…
You fellers have a great day, ill catch up later!!

I did that a couple weeks ago, lol. I am just getting behind in posting some of them. I'm now knee deep in this cooling system upgrade now. Ordered a new motor for the Cougar XR7 fan, and AZ called and said it came in. I went over, and he took it out of the box... completely wrong motor. So... they had to order it again from VDO. Also waiting on the BMW sensor for a 180 'stat, and also need to make another adapter for the 'stat housing.

I got the new radiator in, and test fitted it all.... and MAN, did the fan motor come close to the water pump. But, it s going to work, and work very well.

Looks to close for comfort, are you sure it's not going to hit ? Floor it from the light a few times, hole shot, - if it's going to hit..... it'll hit then.

Eh, if so, solid motor mounts will fix it.

Now, back to sleep. Why do pups feel the need to chew up grass, mulch, sticks and (?).

Thanks Brew, I'll look at it harder today.

Ohio... it has vert mounts in it... next best thing to being solid. The motor would have to also move forward for it to make contact. Just sitting here eating breakfast, but my "I'm not looking at it right now" guess is 3/4" forward, and an inch up. I'll measure and confirm.... the drivers side mount always goes first, as it takes the most abuse because of the rotation of the motor.

Back to the kitchen!!

Might have a hang up today... sensor was supposed to deliver today. Now it says tomorrow. Just got back from HD with a couple 3/8 NPT to 1/4 NPT adapters. I always get a spare, just in case. Time to drag out the drill press. 🤪
