I had a Dr. appt at noon today and I didn't eat anything before I went.
I started getting hungry waiting in the office, so I decided I would hit Dunkin Donuts on the way home.
It's been a few yrs. since I have been to one, and they didn't have hardly any selection.
I asked if it was busy morning since they didn't have much of a variety.
She told me those are the only ones we make.
I asked about the two that I like and was told nope we don't have those anymore.
So, I said, "Thanks and have a nice day" and turned to walk out. lol
I ended up hitting Savy Sliders on the way home and got 1/2 a dozen sliders instead.
They were really tasty, and I attempted to eat them all.
But after two, I knew it wasn't going to happen.
So, I called in my reserves and Buddy and Mika got the last two bites of the remaining 4 sliders.
They thought they were pretty tasty too.
Well, ****. I drove by there a month ago and they still looked open, but they were probably yet another victim of pandemic lunacy. They had only been open a few months before everything went to ****.
I also had clam chowder with my fish sammich and sweet tater fries. I love Jim's restaurants here. I've never had a meal there I didn't like.
I got Ron's Vette all back together. Put a new alternator in it and prettied up the wires that run across the top of the motor. Damn thing still isn't charging... but I think I figured it out. He replaced a popped fusible link with a regular fuse.... and it pops after running a minute or so. I think I'm going to switch it back to a fusible link tomorrow. It hit me on the way home that a 20 amp fusible link will take some abuse before popping. Whereas as soon as the regular fuse sees 20, it's sayonara.
I don't know how you find the time to work on everybody else's stuff. I barley keep up with my own....always something to do or needs attention..
Guess I sort of do the same. .Grandson acquired a dirt bike for his b-day...a Honda XR85. Ordered a truck load of screened topsoil to build jumps in the yard. Kind of the same thing I guess, make time for fun.
Unfortunately, it means my stuff gets neglected, LOL. I don't mind working on projects that I'm not funding, however. Kinda nice, actually. And the fusible link fixed his charging issue. We took it out for a spin yesterday.... I drove it a few miles too. That son of a gun is pretty fast. The previous owner did some work to it... but he can't remember everything that was done.
Anyway... he had taken this to a dealer, and another guy (a friend of his) that owns a chain of repair shops. Nobody ever thought about the fusible link issue.... kind of weird. I was teasing him because the fusible link I used to fix it said "Ford" on the package, LOL.
Along with driving his Vette yesterday, I also got to drive this 70 Mach 1, basically my dream car. It has no 3rd gear, so I think we'll be pulling this trans apart. It also holds 1st a little longer than it should. It a 351C, and man does it sound good!
