It'll be fine... I will try and get a pic at a better angle. Been putting together the harness all day. Looks like this won't be 100% complete until next weekend.... waiting on parts.

Oh , is that what it is, the pic is making it look tighter than it is ?

Must be it.
The motor would have to shift forward 3/4 of an inch, and/or have no motor mounts to hit it. I will probably switch to solid or chain it at some point anyway. Most of the guys I know chain them because of the vibration solid mounts cause. The chain only gets tight if it has to.
Battery was 10 years old and just starting to turn the engine over a bit sluggishly so it was time for replacement. I keep it on a maintainer. I had guys tell me you can rejuvenate the batteries so I thought, what the heck, I have nothing to lose. I had backing soda, epsom salt and distilled water for my espresso machine.
Long story short, it looked like it was going to work, maybe. It was taking days to charge up, I even got a bigger charger with a rejuvenation function. I kept checking it with a hydrometer and it was coming up but still slowly. I decided I was never going to trust the thing again so I went to Wally World and got their 880amp Everstart, $88 with the trade-in. Cranks very well again. My reseach led me to believe they are as good as any battery and better than most. We'll see.
That pic made it look a lot tighter than it is, apparently. No problem, then. And chaining the block? What are you planning for this thing? A 418 stroker with a Weiand 6-71?

For the hell of it, I tried the aspirin trick on the battery that came in my 88 GT. It's still starting my 06 Escape every day.

Hahahaha.... the 351 for starters. We'll see where it goes from there.

Apparently my pic didn't load last night. I am going to relocate the Christmas Tree on the harness. When I put the harness all together, I left it where Ford had it. But I don't like the natural curve it has to it, so I want to clean up some of that slack.
