Haven't heard from Ohio. Hope it's not because of getting the forecasted 6 to 12 inches of snow. The weather has been crazy. Our one day of storms is on day 4 now.

That sounds pretty wicked, White! We have 27°, but just light snow blowing around. There's a dusting on the deck railing, but that's it so far.

Efarmer: If yours is a 2000 as AK seems to indicate in his post to you, you should just be able to get some new interior door panels with the pockets from an XLT and up trim and be good to go.

EDIT: Coming down rather decently now at 3:45PM, and just starting to stick to our gravel driveway.

If you go down to the bottom of this story, you can see a lot of photos people have given to the news stations.

Here's a little video from my dash cam.... The first arrow is a large pine tree, the next is a cinder block wall and chain link gate, then two more trees. I just went down the street from home and see a big tree down as well.

Cruise is okay, as it can be added by the dealer, as well as fog lamps, usually. Everything is not plug and play. The wiring plugs on earlier models are different than the 2000 up.

Headlight switches, heater controls, dash cluster, etc all have different plugs and will not fit. I had to swap my steering wheel connectors had to be swapped to fit the 2000 Gator strg wheel and Ford air bag I used. I really hate it on ebay when people list thing fitting 97-03, when they don't fit all the years.
Okay I get what you’re saying, how in-depth does the manual go? Could you answer if I have A plug for an electric seat base? I have looked and all I see is a seat buckle plug. I know that there are 3 plugs for it if it is from the factory but that runs under the drivers side sill plate up to the kick panel. And from there, since it was in a loom, I lost tracing it. Is there the expandable plug like the rear speakers? Because regardless of the 2 dash systems, there is a plug running to the rear corners where it can be expanded, using a factory wiring harness and door grommet to have rear speakers. Does this exist for the electric seat?

forgot to say, I made an adapter to go from the original f-150 clockspring dash connector, which is brown, to the Lincoln clockspring connector which is white. This is the outcome. I’m waiting on AXXESS to mail me my replacement for the steering wheel audio adapter.

I have a 99xl no power but has cruse control. I found the wire for power seats in the passenger side kick panel There is a black 2 wire plug with a green wire and a black wire the green wire ends there and is the hotwire for power seats. The seat track I got had 2 plugs one for seat belt and a 2 wire plug for the seat. The fuse and relay was preinstalled in the under hood fuse box.
Not related but I have no wiring for fog lights or power windows.

Power seats would be a Gem option and not a CTM option. Where does this wiring go under the dash? I'm a little confused now with the different information.

this was off a donor vehicle where I traced the wires. AK, is this a CTM option. I believe I have the CTM like river, is this an option for me or would I have to swap CTM/GEM or is it possible to do some wiring of my own to connect these kickpanel leads?

Looked it up and clock springs are listed as with cruise and without but the years for use isn't listed, rockauto. The manual only shows the clock spring circuit with cruise control. I also think you've identified another of my trucks mix of 98 and 99 parts because I definitely have the plugs under the dash. The 99 wiring manual only shows different plugs between what's common on the CTM and GEM modules for the GNC trucks.

EDIT: Efarmer, forget what I said and listen to AK.
Yes they do. I posted this in the Thinking thread when I used the 99 Lincoln Gator CS so I would have redundant audio controls with the Gator steering wheel. If you use the Gator CS you have to swap the end connectors to the 98 style. There is a thread on it here somewhere, maybe in the T thread also. I think I did post the link there.

Welp... the wind said "99? I can do better than that!".

BTW, the power is still out at work. I'm on "the list" that gets a message from the power company when it comes back on. So far, nada.

It was the clock spring that led to my finding out about my bastard truck. It's a 99 but the clock spring didn't fit. Took it back to Autozone and found out the 98 matched what was in my truck. Didn't understand that until I got a VCM. When I entered my truck information into the VCM a Starred, "*MY Exception" came up. Took a few phone calls to find out it wasn't "my exception," it was "Model Year Exception." The truck's build date is the 2nd or 3rd of September of 98 and it has both some 98 and 99 MY year parts from cleaning out old inventory. Problems from this pop up about once a year. Because the VCM doesn't read the FRPP PCM because it has no VIN number so I let the subscription expire but it's in these situations where it still would come in handy. My generic scanner works fine for everything else and doesn't cost $850 a year. I don't know if it's true or not but I was told this is no longer done with parts.
