I've heard of it, but never done it. It seems like it had mixed outcomes as to whether or not it worked. It was more to fix physically damaged HD's though... usually the "click o' death" victims, because it is supposed to shrink the metal and free up stuck parts.

If you do it, be sure to bag it first.

If you don't want the cooler that's fine White but come on? It's a Ford part that Ford put on the engine as shown in the pictures of it you've seen. Of course it fits.

Thanks, I'll save that for the last resort then.

Yea so far I've tried an All SATA and SATA II adapter (has it's own power supply), an Apricorn adapter and a Universal 2.0 adapter for SATA. All fails, -tried tapping it as well. Going to try to connect it up inside the case itself as a slave, see if that works before freezing it. Yea , it froze up while stored (not literally like an ice cube). Hoping to at least get a read on it for transfer.

Also have Acronis on standby.

Question for you Gents, I highly doubt it but will supercrew door panels fit a supercab? Awesome U-Pull-it find, and I would love to have electric windows and the door panel item holders.

todays find was a the dash panel below the steering wheel, in front of your knees, with the small holder, which I plan to add a trailer brake controller to. Also some hose clamps to replace the crappy ones ford gives us, front half of an exhaust and muffler, 2 ambient temperature sensors, and 2 windshield washer sprayer nozzles.

the find of the day was a JL Audio 250 watt, single Channel amp. I have no use for it but maybe swap it for a 4 channel amp or sell it on eBay.

Just FYI but if you have a CTM instead of a GEM module adding those electric windows is a lot more than plug and play. GEM modules were only used on vehicles that had electric accessories like windows and seats. Those circuits don't exist on the CTM.

They must have fixed those 5.4 issues. My 03 has 386K. Had it since 35K. Original timing set. Most work done to that engine was lifters and rockers. Third 4r70w tho...

The two valve 5.4 engines in 97 to 03 F150s do not have the problematic variable timing and are quite reliable over time.
The spark plug blowout issues should have all manifested itself long ago and have been repaired.
At mt work we have (and had) a large fleet (like 40 over the years) of E350 vans with 5.4 2 valves and only ever had one with a spark plug blowout issue.

The 04 and up 3 valve engines though... Not good times.

went looking at a house today and this was in his 4,000sq ft barn... never seen a dizzy tester before. Can’t even begin to list all the cool things he had. But one item he had a 20s fuel pump from a local city which would be cool to have

Yeah, mine seems bulletproof. Superchip and all the bolt on crap since 40K. Lifted on offroaded it hard for 385k. It's got it's rattles and noises but I still run it on silver lake sand dunes. I ran a note scope down each cylinder around 350K and the pistons and cylinders looked pretty damn good.

Blew the tranny again so I bought a 2012 Raptor!
That 6.2 reminds me an awful lot of that old 2v 5.4.

yes I am aware of the in-depth-ness of this modification, however, it does not scare me. I wired a remote start/keyless entry to a base model, no FKE truck. I also don’t plan to run it through the GEM, more so 2 separate relays, controlled by overhead switches on an expedition console. No one touch down or nothing fancy, just down and up. One switch, one window. That kinda thing
