We did talk about it Brew and Yeh we both have had ours for quite sometime. They definitely deform after getting wet as I found out trying to get out from the house after the water came up 3 too many feet in the flood last year. Got water in my intake and had to pull the filter and change the oil on a dry "hill" about the size of my truck before fording on through the next hole. After it dried out it has been just fine though.
WOW, -Forgot that you suffered through that mess! I've seen what happens to filters after a little Marine Biology lol. My kid put her 150 to the test -
