Thinking
Yeah.... You're paying some dude to do the work. If I was a mechanic, last thing I want to hear is what some guy was trying to dig up on the forums to make sure I was doing it right. Let the guy earn his money for **** sakes, lol.

Forums are for DIYs and people tired of shops not fixing their problems lol. If you're neither of those people... stick to the mechanics you go to as clearly they are doing their job
Yeah even tho I know some knowledge people on here... if I was a mech and some dude came in saying well I read on the internet blah blah blah... I'd be thinking well hell go fix it yourself then, what do you need me for

SP- Thought you were referring to Surface pro.
Okay, so you didn't fix it yet I take it? Tired too,
Well, guess I'll try using the onboard vid, perhaps it will plug and play nice w/o bio manipulation. That will verify the card as bad. It's a PITA without a monitor to check software/hardware further. Thought you may have got somewhere, guess I confused yuh at some point. Tell you what, if the onboard vid will light one up, I'll let you know what it ends up being. Since we seem to have similar issues with like old comps, if your still troubleshooting anyway...or if you even were, hell iduno anymore lol. Thanks for the info though, at the very least I know I'm not the only one.

Yeah, I was referring to my Surface Pro. I was out of it last night.... kinda still am, lol. I have not been able to get enough sleep lately. I will be taking my energy supplements for sure when I get to work today.
So far, I have not attempted to fix it. I will get into it soon and look at it. I need to make sure there isn't a ground issue on that circuit first. I also always shock the stereo receiver plugged into the same circuit, and it has me thinking that there might be an issue in that regard.

Brew, this thing is an oldie. I built it well, and it still keeps plugging along. It's a Windows 7 Pro 64bit box, and it's running on 8GB of RAM. I have an ASUS GeForce 210 1GB DDR3 card in it. The board is an old ASUS M4A785-M Motherboard with an AMD Athlon II X2 215 processor. It is mainly just a download box and file server anymore. So, plenty of juice for that. Oh... speaking of juice, it's got a 500W power supply in it too. It's got 7.5 TB storage total in it right now. The OS runs off of a 250GB SSD, and everything else is mechanical.
Like I say, it's old, but it really does do a great job still. My Laptop is an Intel i5 with 16GB ram, and a 1TB HDD. It has Windows 10 Pro 64bit. My desktop at work is a lightning fast customer though. It's an Intel i7 on Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit, and it has 12GB ram. It's what I am using to write code, etc. Smokes my Surface!

I have the better heat sink and fan, -I can swap that over. Just strange that it blew.
