Well, this is nice....

Any ideas? Sand smooth the peeling edges and shoot with some Duplicolor clear-coat, maybe?

67 Shelby 500 GT barn find with professional appraisal. A lot of interesting information about the cars.

Ohio, my Mustang did the same thing with the aftermarket headlights. I just peeled it all off, and it still looks OK. However, it doesn't see a lot of UV rays anymore and I think that has something to do with the longevity. I did see a video a while back about this very issue, and the guy just sprayed some Krylon clear on them after removing the old crap.

Rivers, I'll put that in my Youtube queue. I've been watching Vice Grip Garage a lot lately. That guy (Garrett) reminds me so much of my Buddy. Brings back a lot of high school memories and right out of high school memories. Whenever he says "I'm going to do the right thing and _______" you know it's going to be funny.

Ohio... not too sure how you are on shocks for the Stang, but KYB is running a promo right now. I just got all 6 shocks for mine for under 200 and they have a 50 dollar rebate. I need to take pics of the box tops when they arrive and to send the receipt as PDF, and BAM... 50 bones. They are the Excel-G's which I believe were the shocks Steve Saleen was using.

If you're interested, this is the rebate site... just click on the red "REBATE ENTRY" button:

One more thing (I stole that from Columbo).....

I have been thinking about either starting my own bulletin board/message board, or starting some type of a blog for my car. One of the other admins on the page I admin accidentally deleted three of my threads pertaining to my Mustang, and I can not seem to recover them. Do any of you have any ideas? Suggestions?

THANKS!

(I did own stanglife.com for about 2 years, then gave it up)

You know, for as often as I hear, "nothing on the web ever really gets lost.", a lot of things seem to get lost. Does the admin maintain any kind of separate same site that maintains a back up? I've worked places where everything done on CAD is maintained in a language format. That way the IT guys could recover anything lost on an individual computer since the last save. Everything is "cloud" now so I don't know if that would still apply?

I can't get them to respond. I believe my friend that started it sold it to a company that has since made it based overseas (China), and they just don't care.

Globalization isn't all it was cracked up to be. That sucks. You know, I've visited a lot of Mustang sites but I don't think I've ever seen one that specializes in, or focuses on restoration or restomods. They're all rather generic except for racing but even those are primarily people with questions about what do you buy to become Mario Andretti. I'd say go for it with starting your own board. At one time there were a lot of sites where you could make your own site and once done the site would charge to register the site for you. That was years ago though but I remember a lot of people giving them a try.

BTW, you need to fix that button.

I have two sites up right now that are purely informational (business) sites, but I used Duda.co for the WYSIWYG, and then pay Google 12 dollars per year to host it. I did set up the ability to send quote requests, however.

Wow seems inadequate. lol I'm not sure I would have gotten as close as he did. I saw on one of those disaster programs where a sink hole started in Florida in someone's yard. By the end of the day his house was gone along with a couple of neighbors homes. It had to have covered close to half an acre and you could see the edge of the hole being nibbled away and then bang! An area maybe as big as half a basketball court just fell in. The probably built the area over an old Indian burial ground! If you do go by say hi to the Finnburgers for me!

What are your web addresses? Want the word spread for visit counts for potential sponsors and advertisers? Go for your own share of globalization. (score, not clap)

EDIT: Took some pain pills and I'm feeling pretty good.
