Office 2016 for under 30 bucks is a killer deal. They send you a direct link to d/l from Microsoft..... just tell it you want to register with a key instead of the Microsoft Account. I hate Microsoft Accounts... just for the record, lol.
Regarding SFF... I should say this, though. The Intel NUC is a very respectable, and quite capable unit. I've put quite a few of these into service over the last year... all 7th or 8th Gen i5's in them, and one Gen 7 i7. They run cool... have USB 3.1, SSD, use laptop DDR3 or DDR4 (depending on which model) memory. They come with a VESA mountable bracket too, and allows you to mount them on the back of the monitor.... it's pretty slick.
I have several of those as well and they have held up well so far. The only downside I have seen is with the I7 versions in a quiet office. The fan will run pretty hard any time you put a load on the proc and it gets pretty noisy. If you are in a conference room or someplace with background noise this is usually not an issue. If you are in an executive office however, the noise will make the executive want to throw it out the window. In my experience this only applies to the I7 models, the I5 ones are fine.
I put them on the back of these Dell 86" touchscreens for conference room duty and they work great for that. The PCs Dell wants to sell you with the screens are overpriced for what they are. https://www.dell.com/en-us/work/shop...or-accessories
Cool... I've got them on a couple 55 inch TV's, and a couple 40's. No 86's though, lol... and not touche screen.
Most of these are in loud areas, so I don't think anyone would notice..... I've never cracked open an i7 version, but I assume the extra height is due to a larger fan?
I've only popped open one of the older i3's.... I think it got wet, and that's what killed it. It's the only one that has died on us. There is evidence of wetness inside.

LOL, yea I don't use the Microsoft/outlook for much, but they make it so you just about have to have one. I always forget that damn password when I need it...to far and in between I expect. I default to the black book and hope I documented the latest, also with hopes I can read my writing. I tend to scribble that down quickly.... But yea, PITA account lol.
