Got my Prius steering column yesterday. Got the whole deal for 135 dollars. I only need where I have circled, so I can probably regain some, if not all of my money back via Ebay. The steering wheel is "MEH", but all of the controls, MF switches, bottom shaft, is all in great condition. This is in a lot better shape than a lot of these that I've seen on Ebay, etc. Going to borrow my Dad's Lincoln to do this job... I'm not trusting the HF welder for this.

Yesterday I hauled 3 cubic yards of dirt/mulch. Boy that was fun shoveling it all out lol. (Only did 1 cubic yard at a time) It squatted the truck pretty good but she handled it just fine.

Today I finally got the approval from the wife to take off the steps on the escape. The front two mounting points havent even been mounted for quite some time. Just sitting on the mounts. Still need to to take the frame mounts off and get the passenger side off but at least the passenger side is still in good shape (comparatively). She decided she wanted them off because she caught the rusted jagged edge with her pants and almost ripped them.

At least the bumper top cover got painted today. The grille shell got sanded and prepped, but the wind came up a little too harsh, so I didn't get to finish it today. I'm going to need another can of clear coat. Mine seemed a bit old, but after I played with it some, it came out okay. Finish it up tomorrow, I hope. lol

I'll put on the window tint tomorrow also. I like the precut film. I'll pull the door panels so that I have the whole area open and easy to squeegee out the bubbles.

It is a great thing to have work and be busy right now. I wish everyone could say the same thing.

Stay safe, Bear! And keep checking in on us. We all genuinely enjoy your contributions to AK's thread about the little red F150...... and anything else.

In the event that any of you are interested in doing the electric power steering, here is the pin out of what the Prius module needs for power. These three wires are all it needs to operate in fail safe mode. I have read reviews saying that running it in fail safe is very similar to stock feel for the usual hydraulic steering. The module goes to fail safe after 5 to 10 seconds of not getting a signal from the main PCM.
