I don't know if you guys have seen the videos of these guys using Crown Vic's for off roading, but I saw one today that was lifted and had some meats on it. Definitely being used for off road duty. Sorry about the pic, I didn't realize my damn air freshener got in the way.

Just got back from Autozone testing the battery and they say it's a good, fully charged battery. The problem must be with my charger's amp meter which is stuck on 10 amps or less. The guy who tested the battery even said it was the first time he's seen the testers cooling fan go on and chuckled over the 725 CCA. There tester does not read or give CCA's though wo he couldn't tell me what they are at. Time for a battery minder now. Any suggestions? I think I'd like one that does 2 batteries. I need to charge the truck's battery now and can't trust the charger.

So i ended up with Yokohamas YK-HTXs on the car. We will see how they ride. Now still need to bite the bullet on tires for the truck. According to them the holes in the tires werent actually a big deal since I had white walls... but once you see the pics, I wasnt going to risk a 6hr drive round trip plus 4 days away from home and with my wife and child in the car... Treads were in the yellow and red anyway so it needed to be done. These are two different holes with a 3rd and 4th one starting as well.

This is the one I keep on the Mustang, River. https://www.costco.com/battery-tende...100241973.html It does only one battery, but appears to serve it well.

Mine is even cheaper. I got this cheapie on Amazon. It works fantastic. All it has is a red LED f it is charging and a green LED if its charged. I don't care otherwise.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will look in to them further. I was surprised by the price range these things come in and I wondered if the high dollar ones were worth the price. Some are also called conditioners but there's not a lot about what that means. lol Go figure.

Not going to lie man. That would have had me freaking out. Lol

I recently tripped over the kenda klever rt tire and really like the look. Since the truck may not be your dd for much longer mileage may not really matter but the lateral siping for winter driving is extensive.

And they arent going to kill your bank account. Dirt every day had a scout house episode and the other 3 scouts were running those tires through some rough stuff and seemed really capable.

Think this may be part of the problem?

No those are the little rubber hairs that you see on tires. Usually on new tires they are all over the tread and sometimes they are on the side (as is what you see on these tires. If you look to the right of the made in China you'll see another one that's more in focused and looks like rubber.
