Here's the bluetop steering gear box... im trying to find the original ford number; maybe AK or whitey can find the original part #.

Edit* I can link (on the bluetop page) the bendix power valve and ram assist cylinder I'm having rebuilt if you'd like to see that too. Their website can be a bit confusing at times

Fantastic. It really makes no sense that rear steering hasn't been on cars and trucks for long time now and has been limited to some sports cars. There are some research PDF's online that go in to everything from the added control to tire life improvement that comes with rear steer. It was outlawed in Rallying in the 80's but has been dabbled with in some of the development classes. Rallying uses power sliding which is the opposite of drifting. It was determined to be too much of an advantage determined by design and rallying is suppose to be all about driver skill with the car and not the cars ability to control the driver. That's what's said anyway and their goal although there's a lot to that which is suspect.

I had the opportunity to drive a couple of Audi A6-R's with rear steer a couple of years ago and I'm not exaggerating to say, imagine any corner and the fastest speed you would take that corner. With rear steer you can add 10 to 20 mph to that top speed. It's that good and the added amount of steering radius isn't really much. It's how it effects weight distribution and roll. It's not much radius added for a daily driver, 1\2 to 1 degree although some like the Ferrari Quadrasteer goes up to 3 degrees. That's more than hairpin range and sounds scary. The Audi IIRC was adjustable up to 1-1\2 degree. It does take some getting use to though. Like driving on the right!

I swore off new cars but this might do it.

I noticed. The Redhead steering didn't even cover the 74. Yes, I'd like to see the links.

Also, no promises about availability or condition but I know of a 55 gallon drum full of this stuff and may be able to pick up some cores for you.

Yeah Brew, I was looking at those diagrams. Pretty cool looking. It looks like a Sterling built setup to me. Hopefully it is better than the GM Silverado was in price. I read that it died because it was such an expensive option.

How do you get the links to work? All I'm getting is Figure 1 again.

Edit: OK, I see blurred pictures and if clicked on them diagrams come up.
