We havent had any snow accumulation this winter... but we did get snow this past fall Halloween this year was hard to see the kids' costumes under their winter coats
@akdoggie one more question about parts. My hubs had different seals on either side... so I bought what timken said should fit my truck but it is different than either of the two seals that came off the truck. Can you confirm my Timken 416273 is the proper seal? I attached pics of one of the originals and the new one (the other original seal didnt even fit so I know it wasnt correct)
416273 shows to be correct for the 4x4 44 spicer front end on 73-76 F250's so that should be right. The green seal you have there is a CR seal. There is a number on it, so post that number and lets see if the CR is still available witht he same set up you have currently.
Got about 9 or 10 inches so far.... still coming down pretty hard. I sent a message this morning that I was going to head in to work late, but then got a call from my boss telling me "just stay home.... no sense in getting in a wreck". There have been right around 150 accidents last I saw.

well cleaned it off and it looks like its an original FORD seal... dont know if it was put on as NOS or if this has just never been changed lol part number is C9TA-1175-AT and it has the ford script on it as well.

BTW... filled up the F150, and feel I'm doing OK on mpg's.... for having the garbage winter blend fuel.
dang, i for sure wouldnt want to be UHP on a day like today lol
btw whitey i liked your sig, i borrowed the idea for mine, hope you dont mind lol. imitation is flattery right?
White, the way I understand it mileage is worse in the winter but it would be much worse without the additional additives for cold weather driving. It's not the gas. It's the cold. If you're ever bored and need something to do look up the history of gas. There was no way to know what was being bought before gas was regulated. Some gas had such a low octane, timing was meaningless. One of the benefits of the flathead's was it tolerated this much better.
2100.....according to the Ford book, that is equivalent to 4250 National or 24917 in SKF That was the old CR number. CR (Chicago Rawhide) made the early Ford seals. Part number shows from 69 on for the 44 front axle. Also fits some rear seal applications for Ford.
Looking at the number you show, which also shows, doesn't have the lip on the seal. As far as the inner seal diameter and outer dimensions, they are the same.

as always thanks for the info!
dang all the videos i watched show these needle bearings popping right out... yep did NOT work like that for me lol thought for sure i'd never get them out. This one was the most stubborn. I wasnt going to replace them at first but the more i thought about it... I just couldnt go this far and not replace them. Also there was never a needle bearing seal so itll be good to have that now too
