Also had a piece that his chickens pooped all over.
I hope u turned that side to the neighbor. lol
Yes I have on the ribbon roll. I had my fence in the valley with it, and am going to put it up at the trailer this summer. If I decide to go to the lake house, then it will be more shielded for kids and dogs. I've never used a rivet method, but i can see it working. The ones I use are just straight plastic strips cut to fit and laced thru the chain links.

It was indeed strategically placed.

JP...patience Grasshopper. It shall come to pass.
Well, I'll have to try and get this stuff come spring time. I need to start watching the local classifieds too. Sometimes you can get stuff like this cheap on there.
White, I was hoping that's the direction the soiled side would take. Lol
AK, it may be coming to pass and generally patience is one of my virtues but I am willing to fore go that virtue if it means we can be moved in by Christmas. Lol
Good morning fellers- with all the events that pop up in our lives, i hope you guys have a blessed Sunday!- White, i sure hope your fence sends a message- i know you dont like to hit up your 401k- but its there for times like this- i had to when mom passed-
JP- remodeling can be the biggest pita, but when your done, it is truly gratifying!
JB, AK, if youre all caught up, take a well deserved break!- ( even if youre not caught up!)
We got about 120'of steam line in, now we have to tee into the old woodyard shop feed line.- after that we'll turn in the steam and see how far south we have to go!
I PM'd this to Brew, but I figured I'd post it as well. It looks like crap, but I needed to send this fruitcake a message. He's eating 10 feet of fence most of the way, but I had to taper it down due to vision ordinances. Not even sure I got that measurement right, I just know that it exists... I suppose the county will visit me if I'm off.
Hahaha I love it as well.
I might of designed a fist in those first two panels with the birdy lol. I'm sure that dude knows the meaning. The vision ordinance is for sight distance, at least that's what they call it here. I think they are one in the same.
It looks straight and level. I don't know what you have for posts but if you trimmed it out with cheap pine and painted it, it would blend right in. Hope it holds up to the wind, that would suck to have to keep messing with it BUT,- worth it for sure.
Perfect, economic and quick solution. Be aware, the neighbor that guy has on the other side is going to want to hire you to build one for them.
Also, at that step down on top after the first two panels, you could make a corner piece filler for a much more gradual transition. That would block quite a bit more. Like say lengthening the block from them getting in/out of the car,- which of course lessons the chance of confrontation. Perhaps use all the same material (OSB), but make the piece a slip fit. Know what I mean? Cut the filler transition perfectly the way you want it (for max block) then attach runners to both sides for a slip fit. You could even shim one side of the runner so that it fits tight. It'll look better, more professional (not that there's any concern there, -just a perk), it will lock the top of the fence together (much less chance of wind damage) and most of all block out more of that dk head home moaner.
This is the "Thinking" thread...right? Try mixing chicken poop w/kroil for a sealer...throw in some Uncle Bens for a binder (I know you have that in your arsenal).

Sounds like you might need a break as well, that's a lot of digging. Tapping old lines can be fun too. That's if you able, and the lines in good enough condition. Everything is going good yes ?
Btw- All caught up ? Honestly lol. There always something I SHOULD be getting caught up on vs what I'm doing now. It's like a hex until you actually do it. It plagues the mind and feeds. Well, that's the way it feels like anyway lol. I was under the impression once one gets older those responsibilities become automatic..yea, still waiting for that.

This is all 35' up in a pipe way, supported by hangers- all done from a boom lift
Getting the welder and all his leads up there is the fun part- the lift basket is only so big! lol!
It is going well- there was a lot of pre work done- new hangers, stripped insulation- new pipes already had a coupling welded on one end- its still in the 40's here, so we're still good.
I looked up the ordinance, and it says anything over 6 feet needs a permit. I didn't go over 6 feet on my side. Also, you can only go 4 feet high for the last 15 feet. I have the existing chain link there that is on top of a cinder block retaining wall. So all of the wood is sitting on cinder block. The poles are metal.
I may just put a wood fence up using those existing metal poles next summer. I've seen that done before.
