Yeah... LOL, I thought I'd measured well enough for this box to fit without the seat lift. It's already pretty close to hitting one of the bolts that hang down right now.
I really dig those old Technics systems. My Dad still has one, and that thing rocks. It has two 12's, and those puppies have great sound.... even 30 some odd years later. <tangent> I remember my Dad winning "The Monkees: Greatest Hits" on CD from a radio station as a kid. I remember always pulling that out and analyzing it.. lol. He went and got a CD player just because he won that, and it was a Technics that still works today. He paid over 200 dollars for it, as I recall. </tangent>
HEY HEY WE'RE THE MONKEYS! Man wish I could erase that imprint lol.
Yea, seams like those good 200-300amp, two and three way speakers you get for the doors or behind the panels just never seem to last or sound good for that long. Those old Technics though, sounded unbelievably good w/that old Kenwood amp. I use to crank all kinds of good tunes, -until the speaker wires on the back of the amp began to smoke anyway lol.
Hey, how did you like that Kenwood amp? I might have one available to me here shortly.
It did really good. That thing is ancient, an old 4 channel. Some outputs didn't work. Once I worked through my handicap finally connecting it up the best way possible, it was great! I can't recall the amps 400 or 600 maybe.
Avoid mentioning the dollar figure, put a polish on the car, hand her the keys, -I got you a new car honey. She'll either treat you even better, or you'll get that look, -the life as you know it is about to end look. like that, but with much more meaning.
Dollar figure doesn't matter, she literally could not give less of a **** about it lol.
And between yesterday and today I polished that turd like you would not believe. List as follows.
Used mustang V6 wheels that still say Ford in the middle (score).
New tires
Oil change
Headlight wet sand and buff restoration
Full on detail minus wax because eff that.
Still on the to do list is an alignment, and window tint because who wants to be seen in a Kia lol.
Got the wheels for 100 bucks but they were nasty with brake dust. 1 can of oven cleaner and some elbow grease and they shine. Car also drives much better. Not too shabby looking I'd say.

Yo Brew do you mind sending the acceleration video you had of your truck? Or the link to it? Remember seeing it a while back
