Never considered bags or 3v. lol Well, that's why I asked. I was at around 17 for it but I'll just pass. I was thinking it looked pretty good and I could make a few bucks on it with some simple work.

Rivers.....2006 w 4.6 should be a 2v engine, so if it is, why not go for it. 5.4 I would stay away from in 04-08 though.

I'm going to try and go see the truck tomorrow or Wed. From the damage I see I'm thinking I can make a couple of grand in a few weeks and with it being a new year I can start over on the limit of vehicles I can legally sell per year (5). It's being so clean on the inside is the attraction, for me anyway.

Anyone know how long a new battery that has been sitting on the shelf is good for? I bought a Die Hard, EP-24F when the local K-Mart closed its doors. It has 725 CCA and I got it for next to nothing because they couldn't sell it. I think because it's rated for "south" temperate zone and this sure ain't the south. I've had it sitting on a shelf in the garage for 3 years now and it seems to be charging but it's taking a long time. About 3 hours has the amp meter on the charger at about 10 amps. Am I spinning my wheels trying to charge this thing? Did I let it sit for too long?

I would say it may be toast after setting that long without a charger/maintainer attached. It likely self-discharged to just about nothing over that period. But, it won't hurt anything to give it a charge and take it to AdvancedAutO'ReillyZone to be tested.

Discharge it as best you can then take a 2 amp charge rate and leave it overnight. The next day see what you have. If it's still under 12v, do the 10 amp charge for 4 hours. Check it then. If it holds it's good. If not, oops......boat anchor.

Thanks for the advice. I don't have all the options suggested but I do have the 2 amp "slow charge". I'll check the voltage again to see where it's at.
