I am pretty stoked... I get to see my favorite drummer/musician tonight, Mike Portnoy. The event got moved to a larger venue.... I am hoping to get in there early and try to meet him. He responded to me on FB and said they ARE indeed doing a tribute to the recently passed Neil Peart tonight. Kobe Bryant is one of his favorite basketball players too, so I also figure to get a tribute there too.

I was thinking the other day, that Red should have the updated front end on him. My center header panel cracked in 2 places this winter. I have a spare header, but I am considering doing the update instead..

I found the grille shell tonight in perfect condition for $30, bumper mount brackets included. Another guy has a front 4x4 bumper and valance for 75, so I am going to have a bunch of parts laying around, AGAIN. LOL. One of my buddies did the swap and his 97 looks really good with the later setup. The neighbor is going to the valley tonight so he's grabbing the header and brackets and bringing them to me. The bumper is here in town, so no biggie there. Anyways, Red will be getting a slight facelift this spring.

Do you need to paint it?

the header yes, the bumper cover no. Not too bad at finding matching red parts up here.

Rivers... you asked me about the concert, but I can't post pics in a PM. Hopefully AK is cool with me placing these here. I was not aware that my second favorite drummer, Aquilles Priester, was also going to be there that night drumming for Tony MacAlpine. I was able to get 3 of the 4 available autographed drum sticks that they had. Also got me a CD signed by all of Sons of Apollo. If you look at the top drum stick, which is Priester's, you can see what type of a player he is..... when he's done playing, the drum set is hurting. That stick is indeed broken.

I'm more of a classic rocker but I can sure relate to the rush of seeing my favorites from back in my day. My first concert was Hendrix and I still remember it. Looks like you have a nice collection worthy of framing for that spot on the new basement walls!

I've always wondered about chopping the top of a 10th gen. This is the only reg. cab 10th gen model I can find. Can anyone help with just how much the Lighting differs from a base model, reg. cab 10th gen? Always found models help with working out the best way to chop a top and if it's even feasible. I already know the cab roof has no interior structure which sucks for chopping.

Same cab and bed, River. Different trim (valence, lights, interior, etc.) and driveline/suspension, but a standard F150 in pretty much all other respects.

Maybe it is because mine is a SCAB, but it most definitely has, what I consider to be, an internal structure. To remove the back window, you go through access holes in a structure. I may be nuts, but I also do not recall being able to see the channels in the roof when I had the headliner out. Are the single cabs different?
