I am running 265/70/17's with 3.55's - so we'll see what happens at 80 mph. I hope it does as good, because I get to work faster like that, LOL. I'm getting everything set up to get the Yaris shipped here though, so I'll have an econo-box to drive before long.

I'm running the same size tire and rear diff but forget which engine you have. I'm 5.4 4x4 so......yeah.

I'm lucky if I get 15 mpg with 285/75r17s on 3.55s with a 5.4L but at 230ish thousand miles my engine could use a freshening up.

Aragorn and JP, do your trucks have the 4R70, or the 4R100?

Time to finish up lil Red for this year. I'm about to add the Expy front brakes, and other than replacing the rear e-brake shoes, I think I'm done for the year. Next spring, I'll go ahead and stuff the new engine, and after the engine, do the paint. This should give me a truck I can keep for the rest of my life anyways. lol. Hell, I might not finish it first. lol. One never knows from one second to the next.

Happy August to everyone.

She'll be a brand new old truck!- i like that thought- the biggest problem on my old blue is the rusty rear wheel wells - once i repair or get a new bed box, she should last me for a long time!
Sounds like youre getting ready to go to the north pole!! Ha,ha!-
And, you got to have a reason to get back too!!

I measured out the new shed last night. 14.5' X 14.5' = 210 square feet. So, more than double my old shed. I am in the process of building shelves in there.... not sure why there weren't any before, LOL.
