You shouldn't need a new seal unless it has a massive crease in it.
I used that crap you get in the little packets at Vatozone. I have a can of Mission Automotive Dielectric grease, which is really good stuff. I just bought it after I the plug wires.

I also have a brand new set of Denso wires for it.... just need to get my butt into gear and swap them.

How far is the video good for and how far is the control distance good for? Didn't see either in the description or specs.
Yeh there is an app for that. Well sort of. The drone came with a pretty large twin stick controller with a dock to plug in your phone or ipod to use as a touch screen interface. This one has a max range of about 4 miles but is company owned so I'm doing my best not to push it too far. I'm not sure what the max distance for video is yet. I've been mostly playing with the camera and learning to take stills. I brought it home this weekend so I can spend some time really getting used to it. Hopefully I dont kill it. Lol

Use it on your seal as well. One of the few products that doesn't eat rubber long term. You just rub it in and wipe off the excess.

Great, the problem spot is most likley where you noticed the corrosion. I doubt it's a bad pack or plug.

BTW- I can't recall a bad hood seal picking on the bank 2 side in the past. They usually drip over #3 and 4.

We are at 4" already and it's wet. It's a icy rain now, turning to snow again later 2-4" on top of that. Going to be a mess out there..... Yea, it's sounding like the same forecast as yours now.

As a short term solution, I scraped the corrosion out of it. Cleared it right up.

Agreed on the hood seal. I've already had the issue on 3, so I am going to replace it anyway. It's cheap, so it's worth a try.

Thanks for the link Rivers.

The good thing here is, the mountains are doing very well for snow pack, but the valleys are not bad. Last year it didn't really dial up until February, so I wonder if we'll get another late season push. You know that canyon I talked about before.... where all of the people can't get up or down, and slide offs are all over? - Guess where I have to go for work for a week in February?

I read some stories about that storm. Sounds pretty wicked. You guys in the path hunker down.

The Dell 990 is now on Windows 10. Not even a hiccup. I did a fresh install over 7 using the upgrade tool, and it didn't even ask me for the key. Drivers were all automatic, too. Almost scary how smoothly it went. I only have 4GB of RAM at the moment, but it's going to be an internet lookup and CD-manual machine for the most part, so we'll see how it does. With my first LCD monitor, a 2005-vintage 19" Princeton, off it goes to the garage today. BTW, after all this time and fairly heavy use, that monitor has just one dead pixel and otherwise still looks great. (It also weighs about twice as much as my Asus 24.)

I am debating on doing mine... also remembered that my Windows 7 install is on a 128 GB SSD.... or maybe its 256? Hell... I better look. But I am worried the MB might night be compatible with 10. XP was the first OS that I ran with it.... these old ASUS boards just go for forever though.

I have a box of spare plug wires for my truck, so I swapped it out without fully removing the wire... and it ran way worse. Lol.... turns out, I read my cool pack wrong and swapped the wrong cylinder. Dawned on me what I had done after I decided to take the Toyota to Salt Lake instead.

I'd like to ask a question but don't think it warrants it's own thread. When I got my truck just two months ago I thought the flip up seat in the middle locked in both positions. Pull the nylon braided strap to release the lock then move it up or down. After using it a few times it no longer locks in the down position. I keep leaning on it while down and it tries to flip up on me. I know that it has a "detent" to keep it down. I feel it when lifting it up.

Question is am I crazy and it never locked down? I looked at the locking mechanism and can't see anything obviously wrong. Maybe it never did. Thanks.

Mine only locks up, not down.
