Yea might as well go PI, since you really don't have much of choice. I'm not one to boast and I'm not worried about how fast the truck is but I haven't met PI in one of these trucks as quick as the 98. Not to mention the tons of people who post they didn't notice any change. Lets face it, it's only 15 HP for the 5fours. What actually works, makes them noticeably quicker/stringer from the light is the exhaust set up. It where most of the restriction is, right at the block/exhaust ports.

There's always this kid that wants to race you with his truck, at least that's how it was in my younger years. In my 98's case, this kid had a 99 who was always screwing around with his truck, then wanting to see if he made it faster by racing me lol. He would actually pout and get upset with each loss if he could talk me into it lol.

Perhaps it was just me and since I have children myself, there was quite a few that hung around house at the one time. Glad that part of life is over, I like how quiet it is around here now...peaceful lol.

I hope you fellars are all doing well as the inclement is soon to arrive. We got blasted today, all day. Probably only 6 inches of accumulation though, as it was melting pretty quick. Still made for a rough commute. Probably have a crap ton of ice in the morning, which will be special.

This is a pic this morning at the state capitol building. One of our news stations posted it.

This is funny. We've had a total of 3.4 inches so far this year, and you have more in Utah overnight. Go figure, eh? Great picture. That really makes a person have a good perspective.

Here is one that was posted on an Alaskan site just recently. It was after Thanksgiving since the star is lit in the right upper corner. It will stay on until after Russian New Year. It's a staple of the Anchorage night scene every year, from Tgiving to RNY.

Good morning thinkers!- i have a seriously dumb question- my 03 has 17" rims- since i dont have a spare,( broken lift cable)- what size rim is the spare? I know- duh-, but i cant locate a 17" steelie anywhere around here!- any 10 gens, i find are broken and missing as well-
So... are all the spares 16's?- or will i need to find a chrome clad 17 and use it?- (thats like pulling teeth too!)- thanks fellers-

Surprised you can't find any 17's. I replace all of mine at one time. I didn't find them in a set. I found them all on E bay though. Expy and F150 rims. Found a pair then 2 singles. You try e bay ?

That is a wonderful pic, AK. Alaska looks so beautiful. My Buddy asked me a couple of weeks ago if myself and my Wife wanted to go on an Alaskan cruise with him in May or June. I really wish I could afford such an adventure, but I've got medical bills coming out my wazoo with my two surgeries this year, and my Wife also had a surgery.

As far as rims are concerned, I am going to be putting the 16's with Cooper's off my Expy onto my truck. These Nexen's on my F150 are good enough to pass safety inspection, but are a real POS in the snow this year. They have been really good until this year. Needed 4WD just to get in my driveway last night for **** sakes.

My spare is on a 17" but as long as the spare tire is the same overall height you will be just fine with a 16" wheel.

Didn't think of that, just noticed Bear is looking locally as well. That might be more difficult. It's about 100 for a new carrier winch. The cable didn't break on my old, the aluminum key-way stripped out of the dang thing.

I removed my spare carrier winch due to my exhaust setup and not being able to tuck a 35 inch tire up there. May have it sitting in the garage...or I threw it away. 10 bucks and shipping if I do have it
