It had oversized tires; I don't know if it was a high boy but it sat pretty high.I use to go out at night with him plowing, I just knocked on doors lol.

Stump pulling was a big deal back then...seems that way anyway. Fords have always been the leader in toughness, had a 79 150 in high school and a fine bone peace 75 on the farm with a 390, my favorite engine way back when. That one was NOT safe for travel but great fun in the fields when it wasn't stuck...yea ha!
I did that last weekend with my neighbor and all the kids watching. Actually 2 trees, lol.

My f150 pulled them right outta there, lol

Whitey this video is just in time for you!

I didn't think there was really anything behind the hype of frogtape... looks like it's worth it!
I usually buy the 3M blue and like his test I generally get some bleed thru but nothing near as bad as some of the cheaper tapes.

I saw that video this morning. 3M has a new tape out that I wish he would have tested. It's green as well.... I used it to paint some stuff, and it did a lot better than the blue stuff. I got it from our 3M rep at work.

This is it here....

I actually decided to give one of these a shot (again) and it worked really well. I edged the whole basement with this thing.

Yeah I used that same edger and was pretty impressed with it. You just have to make sure not to load it up too much or it bleeds and defeats the purpose (ask me how I know lol).
I really like it because we have a textured ceiling and no tape will stick to it and keep bleeding from happening (again ask me how I know lol)

LOL, I learned the same lesson. I also got a little paint on the wheels, and that made for some fun. Once I got it down, it was good though.

I'm not going to post any links but there are some horrendous videos on the web having to do with chains, cables and straps. They should make anyone think twice about how they're using them and what can happen when being stupid. If anyone has any doubts, look the videos up.

Ever notice how as we got older parents got smarter?

Yep slight learning curve but once you get it down, it's quite handy to have

Yeah there are some gnarly videos out there. One of the easiest things to do to make Tugging on something safer is to put a blanket or jacket across the strap/chain. This way if it snaps, the added weight pushing down will force the chain/strap to fall to the ground before it can ricochet back to the pulling vehicle or a bystander.

And with how simple that is, it's crazy people don't take the extra second to do it. (Note I'm not on a high horse as I've don't some sketchy stuff in the past, as the saying goes "you live and you learn")

I need to invest in a nylon tow strap at some point. Or a better one than what I have now.

One of the craziest tools I've seen is a high lift jack. Those are too sketchy for me.
