Hmmmm.... now that I am looking at that pic, I am wondering if that black RTV in the back of the threads is my issue? Didn't really see that until I saw this pic.

How do the belt(s) line up? 2MM should be noticeable.

I'm not even close to putting the belt on. The FEAD is still in the Mustang.

Spoke to a Windsor guy this afternoon and he wasn't sure what I was talking about trying to explain this but he said the engines are externally balanced and late model engines had 3 different cranks with their own HB. The wrong HB to crank match was all he could think of and make sure the right crank matches the year of the block.

HB's, Aftermarket should cross reference to these numbers.
79-81 D6ZE-AA 28 oz. offset
82-85 E1TE-BA 50 oz. offset
86-95 E4TE-AA 50 oz. offset

This balancer is for a 68-69 Falcon. All 351's are 28 oz. Only HO 302's are 50 oz.

This HB is very common if you want to do an SFI certified balancer for a 351 swap into a Fox Body. LMR sells one that was made specifically for the swap, but it's just a stock balancer - and quite honestly, it was not available when I started to acquire parts, or I might not have cared about SFI, LOL.

At this point, I know this balancer has been used in other swaps with this same timing set. So I am going to order a water pump and stick it on there to see how it all lines up.

I keep getting the urge to go to electric power steering. Looks like some of the Prius units do not need a speed sensor input... and they will run in a "fail safe mode" when they are just powered up.

I would REALLY like to just turn an alternator and a water pump.

Electric WP wouldn't be worth it?

Here you go: Ditch the PS for some daily pushups, get an electric WP, a Taurus fan, and wire up a butt-load of solar cells on the roof, and you don't have to turn anything!

I might do that.... I did order a Gates High-Flo today, but it was cheap.... so I'm not opposed to adding that to the game plan, if I can do this electric PS. Check out the video below....
