That dude is all over the place. I love how he suddenly became a Ford tech and mechanic after adding Seafoam. Then immediately blew it apart. Lol

I stayed home from work today so I could finish painting. For the record....I am not a fan of BEHR paint. It does not spray well.... had to resort to a friggin' roller. Got it all done though, other than a tough up here and there.

Kinda pissed at HD though. When I had them mix the paint, they were pretty busy. Somehow they managed to mix up my satin finish with someone else's eggshell. Of course, they won't admit it though. I went back over and got one gallon of semi-gloss and mixed it with 4 gallons. It turned out decent on the finish. Waiting for my Wife to get back now so we can go pick some vinyl. SOB'n HD is out of every high traffic product by Traffic Master... grrrrr.

Really decent people overall. I was 18 at the time and kind of had a crush on one of them that was 19, but she ate that crap too, LOL.

Also had some older Mexican lady that worked there.... she was always hitting on me. I actually did learn a lot of Spanish from her and her nephew. The older woman thing kinda freaked me out at 18, LOL. She was married and had kids, and that was enough for me to decline.
Just some FYI but I got curious about this and did some internet searches and there's a lot of information on refugee resettlement and Utah. The information available states the Utah was a key state for refugee resettlement for refugees from SE Asia including Cambodia. In fact the state started an agency called Refugee Resettlement Services. The LDS Church is active in the interfaith refugee resettlement organizations and a big supporter of resettlements to Utah. Without specifics it's hard to say for sure but it's probably safe to assume with confidence that the people you once worked with were relocated refugees who escaped a real hell on earth. Kudo's for Utah and its people.

Sounds like it's going to be impossible to pick up some touch up paint in the future. That sucks. Funny how the box stores are never at fault or never make mistakes and the customer is always left holding the bag. It makes absolutely no difference that the highly trained associate you dealt with was selling TV's or restocking grocery store shelves last week.

Typical box store conversation: Customer; "To comply with the building code I'm required to use a ball valve for this." Associate; "I'm pretty sure we don't have or sell any sporting goods. I need to call a manager for you."

Customer; "I want a good 2" China Bristle brush. Where are they in all there brushes?" Associate; "I think all these cheap brushes are from China."

The joke is on anyone that believes the box stores are anything other than self serve. Real hardware stores have gone the way of the full service auto parts store with a machine shop.

Yes, we have quite a few refugees here. I work pretty close to SLC's refugee and immigration center. Like you say, a lot have been sponsored by the LDS Church, and many have a much better life now as a result. I worked with a Bosnian refugee about 24 years ago that was NOT happy about being brought here though. He wanted to be fighting the war that was going on over there. Really high strung guy too.... shortly after he quit, the war ended, as I recall.

Wow 2100, that is a steal at $40. I recently got a Yamaha from Costco after using a couple worthless electric units. If you are doing a horizontal surface I highly recommend one of these. https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-12...1012/306343083 After spending hours with the wand, I switched to the surface cleaner and finished the job I was doing and re-did what I had already done with the wand in lees than 1 hour. Huge time saver! I will never use the wand on a horizontal surface again if the surface cleaner is an option. My experience was with a more powerful unit from a different brand so your mileage may vary but it was an enormous improvement for me.

I've been thinking about getting one of those, Buck0. I'm glad to hear you like it. Mine is a Ryobi, and I saw that listed as an accessory for mine on a webpage at some point. I think I'll grab one of those if you say it's that good.

Man don't tell me that! I'm doing my driveway and garage floor First. I saw that attachment and pondered it. I've done my driveway before but it took awhile.... I may just have to go spend another $30 lol

Well it showed up today and the plastic housing is scratched up. Called ryobi to see if I could get a replacement... was told it would void warranty... what!?. Called Home Depot and I could return it or get a partial refund. They gave me 30% off which was $90. I only paid $45 to begin with so Home Depot just paid me $45 for to take a $300 pressure washer. LOL

Anyway looks like that floor attachment will be coming home tomorrow for free

Win - win - win!

I am puzzled how the hell that voids a warranty though ?!?!?!?!?
