I forgot to post these engine pictures from this past weekend.. Red runs like a sewing machine now. I did have them pull the Pacesetters and put on New manifolds. So much quieter now and even seems smoother running with them. The Auto Start works great too. Now time to detail it under the hood.and inside the cab.

I mean your only choices are interco, mil surp, and one or two others. I say give them a shot. The price point alone for their larger tires is pretty good reason.

JP....thing drives really well and has plenty of power. It's not a race truck but should be fairly dependable.

Damn... last update was 5 hours ago. 1000 acres at 0% containment. On the peak where this camera is located resides several news and radio station antennas. If these go down, it will be bad news. This particular camera belongs to KSL.

Never mind.... this damn thing is only loading images to 90% again.

Default Injectors

So last week I asked about some injectors on ebay. I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the CS Performance ones. They cost a little more than the Chinese ones but these made me feel more confident in the purchase. They showed up nicely packaged in individual small boxes like a set of spark plugs would. They were then sealed inside plastic bags inside the boxes. Overall I am pleased with the presentation for something from ebay. It will probably be a couple weeks before I get them installed since I have too many projects at the moment but all signs point positive so far.

Yep... last numbers were 1700 acres and 0% containment. This mountain is owned by Rio Tinto, and there is no public access - so luckily other than rubber neckers, it isn't impadting traffic much. It is overgrown, and the heat has dried it up pretty good. So it's all kindling. They "believe" it was started by a person.... different parts of this mountain have been on fire twice within the last year, both started by Rio Grande's trains.

Here is a pic I took of a helicopter getting water from a little pond right below it.

This is an idea of how close it is to me. I live pretty close to where the arrow is at. As you can see, this is a Life Flight chopper, and they left right after I took this pic. Hopefully not any of the firemen!
