Question for AK, or anyone really. Once upon a time you mentioned you got Bosch injectors off ebay cheaply. I was looking around the other day and saw a set of 8 flow matched Bosch injectors for our trucks for $51. This seems too good to be true and thus I am skeptical. Do you have any input on these? I'm going to do my plugs soon as was thinking for that price it would be worth replacing my 200k old injectors at the same time.

943's yes. These are what Blue and Red both have in them, both reman sets. I got 2 sets for less than 80 bucks some time back. Red has them since last year installed. They came out very nice and clean when the engine got swapped, so they are still nice shaped. They (943's) fit a chitload of vehicles. BBC's use them also. Quite a nice, multiuse injector.

I had to get Red a new lower hose, since he has the oil cooler on him. Damn thing is ridiculously priced. Last night while playing on Amazon, I decided to try a couple part numbers for Dayco and Gates to see if I could do better on pricing. Wow. I got the Dayco for 22.74 shipped with Prime, and $10 off for some promo deal, so for 12.74 I have a new lower hose on the way here. Damn it pays to shop. This has to be the ugliest hose ever made.

Well I finally took the time to fix my intermittent odo. Could see a nice complete crack of the solder joint when I got it off. It works again but dang I missed it rolling over 200,000! Sitting at like 200,570ish. It's been intermittent since Like 185,000.

Also figured out why my light bar was dead (thought the bar itself had just crapped itself) but no apparently my wire form switch to relay had a connection that was corroded so bad the wire completely disintegrated and just the electrical tape was holding the wire to the joint.... ya I fixed it properly this time lol

AK - You always find the deals!!

2100 - It's amazing how the odo fix is almost *always* the same pin on our clusters. It's almost like Ford designed it to fail.

As for those $50 injectors, I'm skeptical that they're really new, genuine Bosch units, and not knock-offs. When I get a set, I'll probably pay the additional amount and get the CS Performance remanned ones. The lifetime warranty vs. 1-year, thorough description of their processes, and US-based operation are convincing factors. They also have a photo indicating that these have the 4-hole pintles. The other listing doesn't show this.

I like your thinking Ohio. I'm leaning that way now as well. Hopefully White and Brew will chime in with their opinions

I've always been a BYU fan. Although the Broncos are my favorite NFL team, I always followed Steve Young, Jim McMahon, Anthony Munoz, Todd Christensen, Vai Sikahema, Jason Buck....

It's been quite a day... lots of Utah fans have been decorating BYU fans desks, yards, cars, etc. A friend of mine just posted a garbage can full of Utah stuff that he found on his desk.

So yeah, BYU. If they lose again tonight, I'm starting the conspiracy theory that Sitake is a plant by Utah

You mentioned deck cleaning earlier. - For both cleaning or stripping decks and concrete I go big and use a Porter Cable w/Honda 13 horse, 3600 psi, 4 gpm, CAT triplex pump. It's bad ***..you can also pick off wasps on a swing-set at about 20'. Yea that thing shoots water in bullet form. I also have a permanent scar on my foot from that thing. That one came from Home Depot.

The other one I have/use is Briggs 5 horse , I think it's 2200 psi. Picked that up at Sears. That's the very least I would use for deck cleaning. Yea, I worked my way down through the years with pressure washers lol.

You can also use a hard brush on a pole with Murphys oil soap cleaner (concentrated) right from the bottle. It's good stuff, cuts right through with a little agitation and it's cheap. Then just garden hose it off. However, if your staining right after, it's best to pressure wash only to avoid any contamination.

For injectors, the 4 hole upgrade is probably the best you can do. You CAN do a Bosch Design 3 upgrade which are 5 hole (I went with those for the 98 back in 07 at about 185,000 miles). Single hole injectors are good enough though....hopefully they have been sonic cleaned. A supplier will offer up their cleaning method in the listing. Hell, jewelers use the sonic method for cleaning. It's the best injector enema that can be had. Anyway, that's how they accomplish a flow match.

Also, make sure the injectors you purchase match your harness connectors. There's two types EV1 and EV6. I think you want 1's.
