Hey I can play this game. My truck saw is the Stihl MS 291 but I have a MS 181 C-BE that is great for just about everything.

I have a Husky 345 that does the job for me. It's been a little hard-starting since we moved to 8900', but the factory-limited adjustments seem to be.... limiting me from getting it "just right."

Ohio, I have an old 90's era long bar husky that gets brought out every once in a while for big downed trees after hurricanes. That thing is old, heavy, and hard starting at 30 ft. elevation but it will chew through whatever you put in front of it after you get it going. I have an early 2000's mid size husky as a back up saw but it leaks bar oil worse than any I have seen so it doesnt come out unless I know ill have a full day of cutting. Typing that out made it look like I may have an addiction I wasnt even aware of. Lol

As you can tell from the changes to mine, I'm not much of a brightwork fan.

EDIT: But I do *LOVE* AK's new wheels! Those could change my tack.

I've been getting away with a Porter cable sawzall (Tiger saw) and a good pruning blade for years...it's all I needed for here and there work in the yard. It does pretty good cutting up to 8" and smaller lol. But yea, that's about max for that little guy. Milwaukee and Greenlee have some killer 12" prunning blades that last forever. That's all changed in a big way lol. The largest tree is 5.5' at the base. Then splits into 3 about 4 or 5' up. I'll be removing what's left on the tree after storm damage 2-3' wide x 16' tall. Had one 2-3 footer on the ground from last year I cut up already, split half of it. I showed you guys that one last year. Cleaning up these monsters is next, that'll take a little climbing.
So yea, Picking out the tool for the job was fun, it was either going to be a Husky or Stihl, both are great saws, the top two in fact. Stihl won out with me there. Stihl is the pretty much the best you can do in any product category IMO. However, Husqvarna is right there as well, some of the pros swear by them. So, my research put Stihl just a little above the Husky. A few more features, also couldn't ignore how much better the Stihls look out in the woods. That Stihl orange and John Deere green look cool together out in woods lol.

Anyway, having fun with it over here.
