Hey, White: The new 'puter seems to be running OK. Thanks for the source and test software recommendations. Nice surprise: It came with a 240GB SSD instead of the spec'd 180 and a DVD-RW in place of just a DVD player. Small things, but better than not. I yanked 4GB from the old machine, so I have 12 installed at this point. (Wondering if 16 or more would really be that much better.) I'm having trouble getting 10 to recognize my NAS, but other than that, I think I'm getting it there.
jprevat and again anyone interested. Got an email explaining my truck and just thought to FYI you if interested. My current truck was made at Ontario Truck, Oakville Ontario, Canada. Starting model year 1999 all they made was the SVT Lighting and Heritage Models and the truck plant closed in 03. My truck is referred to as a bastard and there is no way to know for sure what is 98 and what is 99 on the truck. The Vin probably wouldn't help. The 99's that came out of there were just made to clear inventory and there is no "true" 1999, F150 that came out of Canada except for the Lighting and Heritage. A similar situation went on with the assembly of the 99 Super Duty's.

That's actually pretty interesting. I had a 2000 with a 99 build date that had mismatched parts too. The knuckles, tie rods, and end links were all 98 vintage which really made getting the right parts hard to do since the truck was on blocks 20 miles from any parts store.

..
I am running 16 on my laptop. Windows 10 really likes RAM. I would add more if it would let me, LOL. My daughter's laptop is starting to conk out on her.... needs a new battery too. So I might get me a new one and pass this one down. I just ordered a new Lenovo for a guy at work with an i7, 16GB DDR4, and a 512GB SSD. I pick it up on Monday.... should be a screamer.
How is this possible? They can't all be pirate keys, can they?
I found this when I was looking at alternatives to my Amazon purchase ($29.99) that was delivered to somewhere in Alabama yesterday. Amazon has "requested a refund." We'll see what happens, but I'm still going to want to get a copy of Office '16 somewhere. ..
