Proof that some people have wayyyy too much time on their hands. (And alcohol. Too much alcohol, too.)

I went to the paint store.... 100 dollars later the motor will be Ford Corporate Blue. The guy at Superior has been talking up KBS for a long time now, so I'm going to give it a shot. They have a spray on rust converter that gets it ready for their Motor Coater (not Boater). I gotta go get some degreaser and a Fram PH1 filter so I can get it painted. Got almost all of the TC cover gasket off.... that was fun.
Nice, was a little more than I wanted to spend but Amazon had a payment deal that made it work so will have the new toy on Monday. Need to start putting some cash aside to buy more air tools to make my life easier. Took the week off so hopefully I can get the driver's side on the truck done...........if it ever stops raining.

What did I do today? Changed the oil and trans fluid in the Escape. Then put together a porch swing for the Wife..... then this.... below. Found out the stuff I put on the block yesterday was meant for RUST only, so I took it back off. Then painted the block Ford Corporate Blue. The intake and TC are aluminum. Then, just put a 5.4 in an F150. No big deal....

Thank you!

For anyone interested in this I went with M16 washers.... they fit perfect. The 5/8" were too small, and 11/16" had more play than the M16's did.

Did that other guy ever check the fluid level in his transmission? Or did he add just enough snake oil to get it to work a little at a time until boom! Low fluid level could have caused all his issues but he's a mechanic and we are all wrong.
