Downs Ford Upper. I am going to use the same one I've got on the 302.

Well, I'll be damned. I just found out this intake was a marine intake. It came black from Ford.

Have you seen what the Lightning GT40 Tubular's are going for?

Yep, it was, and yep, it did. It was designed for gains at high-RPM - 5000+. Also great for boosted applications. Probably better than my TFS (wink-wink, nudge-nudge).

Yes, I have, though that's a bit extreme, I think. Regardless I could kick myself for not picking one up back in the early 90's when I thought about it. Same with the FMS aluminum drive shafts (though I pulled one from an Aerostar and put that in). I had a 160 MPH speedo that I let go with my '87 when I totalled it, too.

EDIT: I practically gave away a nice set of Marshal fog lights with covers back then, too.

That's why I originally bought it, to add a Powerdyne S/C, but I backed away from that idea long ago. It's a fun little intake with my gears. I don't know it will work well with the 351, but I do have an Explorer upper in the shop if I decide it's not what I want.

I sold 3 Marchal's a while back, and I also sold my mint 85 GT bumper cover. Wish I would have hung onto some of that stuff now. I didn't have much storage at the old house.... so away they went. I have one of the original FMS drive shafts.... back when they were still like 150 bucks. It's a great piece. Was your 160 an actual Ford speedo? BBK was doing them for a while - if you sent them in, they'd regear and reface them. My Buddy did that on his 88 LX because it was one of the 85 mph speedo's. Never did work right.

I have a 140 cluster out of an 89 LX in my parts. Another Buddy bought the 89 LX wrecked and used it to do a T5 swap on his 91 GT. After he was done with it, he sold it to a guy that was going to use the AOD and the motor for a Factory 5 Cobra kit, so they both told me to take what I wanted.... LOL. I was like a kid in a candy store.

It was the FMS piece (dammit). Yeah, those BBK were hit or miss as I remember. The Marchals I had had the black covers, not the white ones, so I'm not sure where they came from originally. Still would've been worth some coin today. I'd like to bring back an '82 GT sometime, but an' 85 without be nice, too. I like the four-eyed Foxes.

I have not even heard of it, Buck0. I'll have to take a look now, however. I haven't done much TV lately.... been trying to use my free time a little more wisely now that I am going to school again, LOL.

My free time lately has either gone to riding my new set of wheels (my Mongoose mountain bike) or working on my 351 that I am building. I am trying to make a TEE to come out of the intake that will go to the ECT sensor, and also hook to the water pump outlet pipe. Stopped at the orange store yesterday and picked up some brass fittings.... could have sworn the sensor was 1/2" NPT, but it's 3/8" NPT, so I gotta get a reducer.

Ohio, have you done anything with yours to get rid of the heater pipe? Or are you still running a heater? I'm just wanting to clean it up a bit. I am currently running a "U" hose on the back of the pipe.
