I think it will but I don't know how it goes to the speedo or if it even reads at the trans. I think some read off the axles

Have you researched the 5.0 swap in depth and if so what are the major factors?

Speedo goes thru the GEM/ABS before going to the PCM

From what I've seen everything is bolt in in theory. I'm just trying to get my head around all the computer aspect of it.

So how would one cut the PCM out of that equation?

Are either one of these locations on the coolant cross over a suitable spot for the efan temp sensor? I have never seen anyone mount it in either of these places, but I also have a different manifold and crossover than most people. My stock manifold took a **** a few years ago so this is a dorman one. Kinda hard to see the spot where the sensor could go in the second pic, but there is an Allan head bolt In there that can come out. I was just trying to avoid buying the 50 dollar hose addaper if I could. To me the spot beside the heater hose looks like the best place, but some guys where saying that placing the sensor in or near the heater hose causes the fans to come on to soon. So maybe I should get a 205 degree sensor rather than a 195 if this location will work. I know I will still probably have to get an adapter but an adapter for either one of those spots is still gonna be a good bit cheaper than the hose adapter

Use an infrared gun and see what that hose temp is at both locations at operating temp to determine what to run.
