Thanks and Yeah I'll keep my eye out for a clean screw. There is a 6.0 down the street that hasn't moved in about a year and it blows white smoke so I know it Needs work. But it's a green crew cab short bed Lariat so maybe I can pick that up for cheap and get It bullet proofed. I don't really want an 11th gen but if a clean 08 screw comes up I may get It. I just think they are ugly. I would love an 09 or 10 f250.

I'm thinking about just doing a HC build with some forged rods with a mild cam. That 2k that I was gonna spend one wheels and tires may go to the engine now.

Dude the same thing happened to me where it was wayyyyy low and I only got like 2.5 quarts out. It'll be fine. I've been adding a quart every thousand miles since I bought the truck 2 and a half years and 30k miles ago. I plan on continuing this until it blows up. It's the most economical way. Pick up a used 5.4 and build that motor slowly while you still have the one in your current truck and swap when you finish the motor

That's the plan, For now at least. Hypereutectic pistons, forged rods, 10ish:1 or maybe 11ish:1 CR, and a mild street cam. Probably take 6 months to a year to get it all built. Yall think 330 crank is achievable with that?

Could you fit a 6bt in a tenth gen?? Isn't that too much weight? A kid at my high school has a restored 83 F-150 with a 4bt swap. It's a neat little truck

Exactly. Or just sell it as is. Or keep it for spare parts

How much blow by are you getting? You've got a good PCV valve in there don't yuh ? Pull the throttle body and dip the lower intake. Just stick something down in there to measure the amount of oil you have sitting in the intake.

In the past, guys have routed the PCV to catch can. The can would fill with oil and they would dump it back into the motor lol. True!
