Thanks Shaay. hopefully we can get this sorted before I start trying to apply the update to our 2012 Focus as well.

 

Blacktux150, it does get pretty discouraging. I'm a really positive optimistic person but this whole experience has put a dent in that. Beta testing shouldn't be happening in a public release and these are issues that are discoverable before an update is posted. I'm not into Ford bashing - I'll vent elsewhere - but this kind of thing doesn't build confidence or brand loyalty. Very unfortunate.

 

Pertfectly stated and exactly how I feel. Such a simple error that could have easily been resolved with just a smidgen of quality control before it was rolled out and now you have 1000's of Ford owners, nationwide, upset and disgruntled.

Have a 2012 F-150 Platinum, and cant even update sync. Shameful. Tried customer service chat twice and both times the "customer service" rep closed the chat session after determining the routine steps for install wouldn't work. How does a major company release an update without testing it first?

 

I saw that the site was up today..loaded the file and no love. "no file found" error yet again

 

Part of me is glad I've never updated my Sync and it still works. The other part think's its absolutely ridiculous that Ford can't get this update to work and is basically offering very little support and information.

 

I remain surprised that the Mods have not created a sticky for everything related to SYNC, especially the fact that THERE IS NO UPDATE OR FIX TO V. 4.4. THE FILES DO NOT EXIST, DESPITE THE FACT THAT SYNC UPDATE SHOWS FILES.

Damn, how many months have FORD CUSTOMERS been waiting on a fix or a rollback to whatever used to work way better than 4.4 ?
