Shaay,

How does having our VIN and escalation help us though? The developers need to fix the issue of the update and get the updated install files on the website.

I work in software development. Ford / Sync has a serious quality control issue. This should be easy and should definitely show up during testing.

Is there an ETC on the issue? My Sync constantly disconnects while I'm driving. I do not even know if this update will fix my issue. I'm just hoping.

pmnovak1,

Our engineers are working to get the issue corrected. The escalation allows someone from my support to give you a call once we have more information and/or the issue is resolved. There isn't an ETA at this time.

AND THERE'S THE PROBLEM!!!!!

Engineers....

Some of the most stupid smart people on the planet...

I've never seen someone go into college, get an expensive degree and come out more stupid than they went in, except for those that come out with and engineering degree...

I've been through all the steps - multiple times. I've used different USB drives, different sizes, all FAT formatted. I've used different browsers. I've used my Mac and my wife's PC. I get to the Install Applications in SYNC and it says it is installing. Just about the time she tells me I won't be able to use SYNC during the install process I get the Installation Failed notice. She then says "There may not be enough space or it may not be compatible with this system." I feel a bit like Ford's personal crash dummy. They want to test the system and I keep getting behind the wheel - only to get repeated crashes like this. It shouldn't be this way.

Hi jabberwoki,

Which system do you have: owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/all/get-started-with-sync/how-to-identify-your-sync-version.html?model Let me know, and I'll assist.

Brother, it doesn't matter what you do. It's not on your end. I wouldn't hold your breath for this to get fixed. I've been waiting a while. Others, much much longer.

It's nice Ford has someone on the site, but I think it's just the band playing while the ship is sinking.
